    Chapter 24

#Chapter Twenty-Four Wow by this point Wil had been a permanent, worn-in fixture of Jimmy’s life for a very long time. They argued, sure, but ultimately their relationship was so easy and relaxed that the arguments were like passing clouds—simple, and never truly impacting the deeper bond. They’d drift together and apart as they did, a dance so familiar it was second nature, and just loved each other in that strange, unspoken way of theirs. Of course, over-priced tiramisu didn’t hurt

And probably a tank or two.

    Chapter 16

i have one brewing... I put my daily chapter through a TTS thing as the first thing I do, and I listen to it while I do things. This allows me to catch any mistakes that reading wouldn't. And allows me to make edits so that you guys don't have to suffer... too much... through my spelling and grammar errors. So yeah Coffee shortly... oh man I need one this morning.

    Chapter 16

    Nope, wrong! Stoker ain't bait!
  8. New York - 1953 – November 25th – D-Day The room went deadly silent as Hugo’s hand went to his chest, and he sank to a knee, his face contorted in pain, his eyes wide in utter shock. The silence, a suffocating, absolute thing, was a counterpoint to the low, humming din of the wounded agents who had, just moments before, been screaming and moaning in pain. They too, had gone silent. The shot, a single, ruthless moment of violence, was not what they had exp

    Chapter 23

funny I just had the best conversation with that Andy, and now know a lot more of what was going on in the background of this upcoming story, enough to make me have to rewrite it... Haven't spoken to them since that summer... wow... this whole project's been a bit of a trip like this.

    Chapter 23

Andrew was big game hunting... and he was loaded for bear... not that... well loaded for scruffy Twink/Nerd/type... oh you get the idea... Loaded for Chicken doesn't have quite the same ring.

    Chapter 23

God he sounds so young in that song... that takes me back, Wil always had some remarkable talent. I was discussing this song at about 5 or 6 this morning my time, and far too late for his old crabby butt hahahaah It's so strange to think of how long it actually was, it seems only a blink ago...

    Chapter 23

Some of you have asked, so this was one of the songs he played the first night we met, and later he would play for me on my couch while trying to teach me about guitars. This is him singing. Please enjoy, and let him know if you enjoyed it. I think he'd appreciate it.

    Chapter 23

Oh Andrew 3 was well and truly in the Bi-sexual camp. He was a competitor, and he wanted his shot. I mean it is entertaining to remember being on the other foot and being pursued for a change.

    Chapter 23

Wil was down, which meant that Jimmy was up. The low hum of conversation and the clinking of glasses created a warm cocoon around them. They’d gone to eat at that restaurant he’d had his first date with Hugo in, a place smelling of garlic, fresh basil, and old memories. The waiter had recognized him, and had given him a lopsided grin and an admonishment, even all those years later, by reminding him that they closed at ten sharp. Wil had looked a little puzzled at the first-class treatment t

    Chapter 15

  19. New York - 1953 – November 25th – D-Day The air was a cold, wet blanket over the streets of New York, a biting November rain that fell in a quiet, relentless sheet. It washed the city in a monochromatic gloom, blurring the hard lines of buildings and turning the asphalt streets into a slick, obsidian mirror. He stood in the silent maw of a dark alleyway, a forgotten space between a deli and a tailor's shop, his body a still, unmoving point in the city's franti

    Chapter 22

He's getting there. I am not saying things were perfect, as you will see. But Jimmy was on wards, upwards and building something inside of himself. It took a lot to get there... I need to talk to you guys about little Curtis, Jimmy's first lil Jimmy of his own. You met him in the last chapter and we will hear more of him, and about a company I never worked for, but had a professional relationship that lasted years of mutual respect. Storm. But first, one of the Andrews, which one are you most interested in learning about?

    Chapter 22

Twenty-Two So the three musketeers—Jimmy, Jayson, and Ben—all worked in the same building, Portage, a gleaming monolith of bureaucracy across the Ottawa River from Parliament. They met every day for coffee at the Tim Hortons on the ground floor, a familiar ritual in the cavernous lobby where the scent of freshly brewed coffee and sugary donuts was a constant. Jimmy was pressed, neat, and his tie was done up with an impeccable Windsor knot. Our little scruffy academic was now a governme
