And Wojciech opened his mouth to speak, but held his tongue as he stared worriedly at Stoker, who appeared rattled by the fact that he had a gun pressed to the base of his skull. Wojciech’s gaze flickered over the man’s archaic garb – the heavy, dark coat, the severe cut of his beard, and especially the flintlock pistol, a weapon from centuries past.

writing chapter 34 now Chapter 33 has to be one of the most visceral and heat rending chapters I have ever written. So I am taking a moment for me with a cup of tea, chapters 34 and 35 are planned out. I can be honest and say I am not sure how many chapters I need for this (not so) little story, and I am debating if I should split it into two books. I am at a place right now where my instinct is to split it at 33 with a brutal cliffhanger. Starting book 2 with what would have been 34 and 35. The writer in me wants to keep going. But the authour in me can see the practicalities of doing it as a two-part/book story. I will wait for @Jeff Burton 's opinion, because he's got a feel for these things, and perspective I am lacking (too close to the story)

It is a shame about Marc, I really liked him as a character. It's just... Andrew. I struggled with how he could compete with the history and the bond that Will and Andrew have, and the more I fought against it with the writing, the more Andrew, the Character fought back and refused to let things go. There are times when I have control over the characters, situations and settings... there are times when they just write themselves. And when it comes to Will, Andrew writes his own narrative.
