Ok...I got the "du manque de neige" all wrong... But...here in Quebec, it's acceptable to say "bitcher".

That's why I stocked my fridge with romaine lettuce heads that were on sale this wee....where else you can find a HUGE head (like over a pound) for just a flat price of CND$1 (about 0.85USD)? I went mental when I saw them on sale at that price. We had a snowstorm last week blanketing the whole city under 20cm/9 inches of snow. Then the next day a cold snap broke out...temperature struggled to get out of -18C/0F to reach a *warm* -17C/3F. Nighttime was a bitch...-25C/-10F and the windchill was downright nasty...-33C/-27F. When I got out of the bus to walk to my apartment couple blocks from the stop, I nearly froze my ass off in the wind. Look like the cold will be back this weekend. Well, now it's -12C/10F which many of you guys consider it too cold but it's normal for Montreal...we consider -20C too cold and that's what we're going to get this weekend.

I don't think the shooting was justified. He had no gun or any dangerous weapons, so he wasn't a threat to the life of the sheriff. Cops don't shoot unless they're threatened. Guns are used as last resort. The cops are well trained to wrestle an unarmed person to the ground to handcuff him. So, there is no justification putting someone's live at risk with that gun when the person is unarmed. Calling out to stop or shoot to an unarmed person...god, if that is really tolerated...we would get a lot more people being shot by the cops for not stopping. So I believe the sheriff wanted to scare him away from the town and don't come back and decided to be a reckless moron with that gun. He could've killed him with that thing if he missed the shot to the jeep and hit him instead.

I knew it was an old note. And it was surprising that the sheriff was so gun happy on him. And the chapter ends...so fast...c'mon.

Well, the weather is coming back to normal in Montreal. Today high, it's expected to be -8C/18F and the low will be -11C/9F. Later in the week, they're calling for -25C/-13F...look like I should get ready for that day since I have to work outside. Do you know that 22F is considered a wintery heatwave in Canada? Come to Canada for a while and you'll get an idea that 22F is not COLD to the Canadians or me. I deal with 10F...0F...-10F all the time here, even in the daytime (yes, we do get 0F in the middle of a sunny day). I'll spare you the story of windchill factor.
