Tim and Stephan will be a duo to watch. They have a few hurdles to jump over yet

I bet you would and you would find excuses to do it often.

    Chapter 24

Within a week, we ran to Stephen’s high school and back. We did start our cooldowns on the way back, and by the time we reached home, we finished with a rubdown and shower. It felt good to be running again. The week seemed to go fast. Stephen had converted my home office into an electronic office. When he showed Gramps one evening, he inherited an additional job. Gramps thought it was such a great idea, and he asked Stephen to take a look at the legal department and prepare a proposal

    Chapter 22

You're welcome. I used that Gump expression in one of my comments. It seems these people who like to put their nose into other people's lives are missing something in their life .

    Chapter 22

Passing the bar tells you something about Tim. He can focus on a goal and is willing to put everything on hold to achieve hi goal.

    Chapter 22

Some people believe they have the right to interfere. The ever so righteous. I remember something about finding a speck in someones eye and missing the log in their eye.

    Chapter 22

Tim will fit in well. He will bring a change to the legal department, just watch.

    Chapter 22

That is a problem with familiarity, these two bigots have known Stephen for a long time, smiling at him, maybe giving encouraged remarks, but they don't have the right to think knowing Stephen a long time, gives them the right to say what they said.

    Chapter 22

Very well put. The story is fiction, as you know, but I have witnessed stupidity like this in real situations. There was a phrase, stupid is as stupid do. I think there will always be people who feel they have the right to tell other people what they should do.

    Chapter 22

You are right. The problem with people who work for someone a long time they feel they have the right to make personal comments.

    Chapter 23

Walking home with Stephen was nice. We kept bumping into each other and then laugh. ‘Stephen, I wonder when my mom and dad will be driving up?” “Not until we give them our address. It will be when Randy has a break from school. You know he will want to come.” Arriving home, I went to my office with my briefcase, dropped it off, and headed to our bedroom to change into more comfortable clothes. Stephen had other ideas, and we had to take a shower. According to Stephen, we smelled of wor

insecurity and a feeling of inferiority, you got it

    Chapter 21

That would have been funny. I should have thought of that

    Chapter 21

    Certainly an inferiority complex
  18. CLJobe

    Chapter 21

I could never understand why anyone feels they have the right to dictate their views to others. One reason, their own insecurity.

    Chapter 22

We spent the rest of the weekend shopping. We not only needed food but new clothing as well. Business clothing that Stephan said we would need. It was fun, but our savings took a hit. I converted the small bedroom into my office. Stephen insisted that I have an office since I might be doing some work for Dad. He didn’t have to twist my arm too much. Gramps had all of the utilities in our name, so we didn’t need to deal with that. Monday morning, my first day on the job, we walked to th

    Chapter 21

Walking home, I held Stephen’s hand, and I didn’t realize how risky that would be until a pick-up drove by. I watched as they turned around and came back. When the pick-up was across from us, the diver yelled, “Faggots, you better get out of town before I kick your ass.” I think Stephen gave them the finger. The driver turned the pick-up around and when they were close to us. The other person in the pick-up stuck his bare ass out of the window, yelling, “Kiss my ass, faggots. Now I was

    Chapter 20

Yes, Dad supported by Gramps has made her realize that she could have lost a son if she didn't accept Stephan's choice of a partner.

    Chapter 20

Yes, I had a secretary that became a close friend of the family. I had one rule, business in the office and pleasantries outside of the office. There is a saying, familiarity breeds contempt, in this case familiarity led to someone's stepping out of line. Dad is very proud of Stephen and I believe Stephen could have married anyone and as long as Stephen was happy, he would respect his choice.

    Chapter 20

Why would I create a story with some nefarious intent 😀 Mom is on board, that is good news. Not sure about working for Dad. HIs hands will be full working for Gramps at least for an initial period
