    A FARMER'S MARKET, in the US is generally in smaller towns, close to the farms. Farmers who do not sell to large food wholesalers, bring what they produce to a place, usually a parking lot and sell out of their trucks. The food is fresh. When I lived in Amsterdam there was one that they called "the Market" same principal.
