    Chapter 23

Very well done! Although some of the plot was predictable, there were also a lot of unexpected happenings along the way. I happen to like the sort of story that has two very different people, sometimes even to the point of them being enemies, who find themselves in a situation where they have to learn to like, trust, care for, or even love each other. (In many ways, that describes one of my own ebook series, so I obviously enjoy that theme.) After reading Mario’s writings here and also his published ebook, “Perception: a German Love Story”, I must conclude that he’s a big fan of that sort of plot, since that's the theme of most of his stories. If you liked “Opposites Attract”, you’ll also like “Perception”, since it’s along the same lines, except that the two protagonists are in high school, not college. Despite the title, it’s in English, so don’t let that keep you from reading it.
  2. Excellent story! Caught my interest as soon as I started reading. I like stories that have two very different people who learn to like, and later to love, each other. This was a very well done example. They triumph together, using each other's different strengths to do so. All of the chapters were posted by the time I read it, so I didn't have to wait to go through the entire thing. I'd like to see more of it get written, but after three years, I rather doubt that will happen. :-((

Glad I didn't read the reviews first, or I'd have known how it ended. As it was, it took me by surprise. I don't usually like shifter stories, but this one caught my interest because I could identify with the young man who didn't really want to become what everyone expected him to be, and I defintely liked the idea that he would use his power to save a friend and potential lover, then throw it all away in the hope of escaping with the man he had discovered that he could love.

    Chapter 1

A lot of emotion in a very small package. I could easily identify with the narrator of the story, who can no longer feel, or love, even if he may want to. The description of the medical things going on only added to the bleakness of what was happening. Nicely done!
