Lacuna

The chapter was submitted last Wednesday, with a schedule to post this morning. It was out of moderation at some point on Thursday, but when it posted this morning it actually showed with the chapters from last Wednesday in the new stories list. I suppose I was niave in thinking this would help me get notifications out and a place on the new stories list that matched the scheduled publication time of this morning. However, the system seems to hamstring non-moderated stories as well, as the publication schedule provides a notification at the time you create the scheduled chapter (which just confuses followers, as they cannot see it at that time), and no notification when it is actually viewable by other members. I question the purpose of the system as a result, and hope that a moderator or admin will be able to delete my two scheduled chapters so I can post them when I would like them to appear, and then they will only lag about 24 hours behind in the new stories list, rather than almost an entire week in this case, or more in the case of chapters I scheduled farther into the future.

So, initially, the feature that allows scheduling chapters for publication at a later date really intrigued and excited me due to its usefulness; I could plan in advance and not have to be online when I wanted chapters released. However, my first scheduled chapter has just published... last Wednesday. It wasn't visible until this morning, but it appears at the time I scheduled it in the new stories list, on my profile, etc. This means that I will likely get no new views from it. This system is awful, and I have several more chapters stuck in it now. How do I remove them so I can just publish them properly when I want to? (Though I know they will still receive low viewership as they'll be buried by having to go through moderation, which does the same thing.) I also received a message from someone following my story, who told me that they get notifications when I schedule a new chapter, not when it goes live.

Hello, everyone! I just noticed this thread so I wanted to say hi. (: I set my name to Lacuna, as I usually go by either that (no real relation to the character in the story I posted) or Liddi online. I am into fantasy (medieval, urban, etc.), sci-fi, unique character pairings, and polyamorous relationships; I'm always looking for more stories and books that include those. I have posted the beginning of the first story I wanted to share with you all, and am hoping to give weekly updates (there are several scheduled at the moment; I really like that feature). I'm not always the best at leaving feedback when I read, as I've never been part of this type of writing community before, but I plan to work on it!

The rapture never came. God turned his face from the Earth and, exercising a fallen sense of humor, Lucifer opened the gates of hell and released demons upon the Earth. Lesser demons, their form often akin to reptiles, and their humanoid demon brethren terrorized the world. Their might varied, often possessing magical or elemental powers that were limited only by their imagination and will. One thing remained constant, though, which is that demonic energy and sexual energy were one and the same.

On a future Earth, demons and their spawn have reformed society. Sygny is an almost human magician of considerable power. Arno is a part-demon mechanic who avoids relationships. When their paths cross just as the local great demon starts losing control of the territory will they form a bond or break apart like the ground beneath them? Lacuna has no memory of her life before she met Tali, Arno, and Rex, but new developments mean that the answers she has sought may be on the horizon. Can she handle the upheaval and make peace with her past, present, and future?

I've read a few stories on this site without an account before, but I'm honestly confused about the concept of the site name. Is this a site only for authors who identify as gay (seems unlikely based on the registration process allowing one to select that they are straight), or a site where characters involved in the stories are always gay males (my experience reading here), or is other content such as stories about lesbian, bisexual, trans, etc. characters allowed? I do write stories about gay male characters, but those stories often include other LGBT+ characters as well; would I need to remove non-gay male romance and explicit content? Thank you for any answers; I was unable to find this information in the FAQ.
