I have been searching for hours but can’t seem to track it down. It is a story about a guy who lived in either Tokyo specifically or somewhere within Japan who broke up with his abusive ex and moved back to his hometown and is being forced to work as a head chef at a new restaurant started by his ex Alex who is also involved with the local mob. More details include that he is liking also the local police officer whose name I believe is either Jake or Jason. He originally moved back to this hometown to help his girl friend start her own bakery. Essentially the main character is being forced to work in the mobs restaurant by being blackmailed.
