Disoriented, Lane nearly fell over as he appeared in an alley. As his senses settled and he found his center, the first thing he noted was the smell of something rancid. Glancing around, he stood next to a large dumpster full of rotting food at the rear entrance to some type of restaurant. It was cold outside and misting heavily, and his breath steamed as he exhaled. His clothing was warm against the chill weather, so at least he was comfortable. The doc said he wouldn’t have his powers, but

Taliesin found the perfect girl. She had raw musical talent, but by the time he was through with her she would be a genius. Her parents started her on violin lessons when she was very young while still living in China, so she had some rudimentary skill. Born to an affluent family who had high hopes for her musical education, and they spared no expense in her childhood lessons. She could not have been more perfect for his needs. Taliesin, in looking for a hook to draw Lane in, knew Lane ha

Thank you! I get the length... and fair warning they get longer as you go lol. None of them are as long as 'War and Peace' though so never fear 😉 . In it's original incarnation, each chapter here was it's own mini-story, or installment, that fit into the overall story arc, and the story still has that 'serialized' feel to it. Due to the length of the story, the number of main characters, and the non-traditional format, I could never get a traditional publisher to even consider it. I hope you continue to enjoy it! 🙂

With the bullet removed from his spine and Kevin Healed and out of danger the doctor brought him out of the induced coma. He would sleep naturally and wake up when his body was ready. Bryan and Lane healed his body, but Kevin’s Soul was drained from being so close to death, and it would take time to recover. With Ken’s and Bryan’s help, the doctor moved Kevin from the operating table, getting him comfortably situated in a bed. While Ken and Bryan finished with Kevin, the doctor moved over

(** Prologue **) It took some time, but Taliesin finally found the one he was looking for. Lane Weaver bore the symbol marking him as the Dreamer and was the only one who could free Taliesin from the chains still binding him to The Order. Early in Taliesin’s life the Gift seemed like a blessing, but after carrying it thousands of years his Soul had grown weary and over time it became a crushing millstone. The weight of Immortality was unbearable, and he was ready to pass the Gift on

They headed down to Grady Hospital and met at the parking deck near the entrance. Lane’s guitar case happened to be in Bryan’s Explorer, and once they arrived at the hospital his Intuition told him he should take it in with him, so he strung it over his back as he entered the building. Ken said, “Ricky, Loy, you go in and meet Tag’s wife, and the rest of us’ll spread out on the fifth floor. There are multiple waitin’ rooms, so we can fan out and not be so conspicuous. Everybody stay Linked

(** Prologue **) One Year Ago The sharp sound of a harp string plucked in the Heavens woke Taliesin from a sound sleep. The single note reverberated throughout Creation, passing through distant stars and across the infinite void, making its way to Earth for those with ears to hear such things. Springing out of bed, Taliesin rushed outside to look skyward, his face anxious and flushed with excitement. It was still night, dark and cold in the southern hemisphere where he curren

The next morning, Ken and Brad woke up at their regular time and went for a run and then to the Lab gym. After Ken’s post-workout exam, by the time they got back home, showered, and had some breakfast it was almost 0900. They didn’t have any clients scheduled for the day, so the plan was to stay at the house unless anyone called or needed them. The house was a wreck, and they planned to spend the morning knocking out chores. While they cleared the table from breakfast Brad told Ken, “I’m

The next morning, Ken and Brad woke early and headed to the Lab for their workout. Sally texted their daily schedule, and they had a job lined up at noon with a new client. Between Ken’s post-workout exam, having to head home and shower, change, and grab some lunch, they weren’t going to have time to fool around. After his exam, while they were getting ready to head back home, Ken laughed and said, “Damn, B, we’re spoiled from havin’ all that time off. I got used ‘ta foolin’ around whenever

Brad and Ken showered together, glad they had the locker room to themselves. As soon as their soapy hands started rubbing over each other, washing the sweat and cum from their bodies, they got hard again. Reluctantly, they didn’t act on their urges, hurrying to try and appease the near constant growling of Ken’s empty stomach. Every time Brad heard that cavernous rumble he laughed and rubbed his soapy hands over Ken’s tight stomach. The best clothes they had in their lockers were jeans and

Thanks flesco 🙂 I so appreciate your comments - its nice to know you are enjoying the story so much! You're right - there's a lot the guys don't know yet. Big reveals are ahead over the next few chapters (maniacal author laughter in the background) haha. Brad

Brad knew where he was right away. At the River, out of his body and inside his Mind, he was healthy and whole. The bubbling sound of the water and the cool evening breeze enveloped him. He expected Ken to be beside him, but when he opened his eyes, he was by himself. Anxiously looking around, Brad saw a bonfire across the river with Ken sitting beside it. No! He was on the wrong side! Brad went numb with fear as he saw Ken on the far bank of the river in the cove that led to

(**Prologue**) Retired Four-Star General Theodore ‘Ted’ Burgess anxiously awaited Dr. Cromwell’s arrival. After nearly twenty years he would finally have the information necessary to restart Project Glass Hand, except this time it would be under his direct command and not some panty waste doctor! He still had contacts at the Pentagon, and with the financial backing of his new benefactor he could recreate the Spec Ops team and use them however he wanted. His new patron wouldn’t mee

Thanks for your comments on the first few chapters 🙂 I very much appreciate it! I'll have to confess that as the writer I wanted Kevin to blow Cromwell away too! I know some of the scenes are intense and might be difficult to read. I try to balance things out, overall. I also have to admit to crying sometimes as I write, at the sad parts and also at the very emotional scenes between Ken and Brad, and the other couples. Ken and Brad are always the main two characters, but in future chapters the other guys get a lot of attention as well. Thanks again for taking the time to leave comments! 🙂

At Brad’s words, the doctor called for Lane straightaway. Not only was Lane an excellent musician, he was also an exceptional sketch artist, often working with law enforcement agencies in Atlanta who didn’t have artists on staff. Lane popped out of his chair like he was on a spring when his name was called, and he rushed into the room looking both apprehensive and expectant. The doctor quickly explained what was needed, and Lane ran to his locker to retrieve his sketchbook and pencils.

Brad woke up seconds before the alarm went off at 0600. He hadn’t slept well, and never did when Ken wasn't in bed with him. Man, I bet he’s going to be in a bad mood when he gets home… He hates the all-nighters. Brad crawled out of bed, proceeding with his morning routine of running, working out, showering, and then getting something to eat. He hoped Ken would be back at the house by the time he finished, but when he opened the garage door Ken’s Explorer was still gone. Brad s

Yes, The Order used to be on the nifty archives website. I had it removed when I publilshed it on Amazon as an Ebook series because I signed up for Kindle Unlimited, and per their rules, the story can't be posted on any other sites. Although a few small typo's might still be hiding, the version here is more heavily edited than the original version on nifty. I'm actually working on a '2nd Edition' to republish at some time in the future. Thanks for checking it out and I hope you enjoy it enough to give it a re-read here 🙂

18 Years Later – Atlanta, GA Ken looked forward to getting home to Brad. He had just finished an intense workout at the Lab with Bryan and Kevin and could use a massage. He was pretty sure it was going to be a long night working security for a new client, and he wanted to get the kinks out of his back and shoulders before heading to work. Aside from the massage being a part of Brad’s job, Ken was closer to Brad than any other human being on the planet and couldn’t wait to be with him.

Syria - 1992 So, it’s finally come down ‘ta this. The doc said it would, but I hoped he was wrong. With a heavy sigh, Captain Dutcher continued his thought: Hell, who am I kiddin,’ he’s never wrong. At least I don’t have ‘ta face it alone. I couldn’t do this without Alan. Captain Bruce Dutcher glanced back at his Team, his best friends and Brothers, waiting on the helicopter. Pride washed over him as he looked at them, and pain over what they were about to go through. It was a
