I think I slept for a decade. When I woke up, it was in a place I’d never been before. Sitting up, I looked around the bright room. It was bathed entirely in warm sunlight. The fluffy blankets and pillows surrounding me were white. The room was so bright. If Talon was here, I’m sure he hated it. A gauzy white canopy was secured to the ceiling that soared high above my head. The fabric stretched in what must’ve been yards and yards down to settle around the bed. It floated ever so slightly, skimm

@SnowBear damn, how was your speed run of the story🤣 If it makes you feel better, I have a library of notebooks and binders that contain my writing and it makes me sad that I have it. Also, give Noah a hot sec, he’s more than he seems I promise.

It had taken Noah a little bit of time to explain Lilith’s homework to her, but by the end he was ecstatic that she mostly understood. They worked through the problems slowly and finished late into the evening. Afterwards, the girl was complaining of sleepiness and a headache. She packed her things away slowly and dragged herself to her bedroom. Noah watched her and frowned. He felt a little bad. He’d never had any problems with math. It came easily to him. His brain naturally worked well with n

@drpaladin he’s doing his best 🤣
-
@Danners pretty sure that’s the only one Talon cares about 🤣 “Like I see what you’re saying. Souls are important…but…”🥵

@drsawzall 😭

@drsawzall I’m dead 🤣 My sleep deprived brain painted a very vivid picture of Kalian selling this infomercial style whilst Talon sullenly does the product demonstration in the background.

@drpaladin this poor story went on temporary hold when Awaken took off. I couldn’t handle writing both at the same time. It’s been a whilllllle

@Etotsira thanks 🖤 This and the others are kinda different? Maybe that’s why you didn’t notice? This is the first one I posted on here. It was pretty rough. I’ve actually been editing it the last two weeks because…uh you could tell I had just started writing again 🤣

The fall out had been about as bad as Seth had assumed it would be. A lot of high-pitched screaming and teasing. Noah was bright red through most of it, and a headache had bloomed that stayed with him for two days. It’d been too much. Which pretty much summed up Lilith’s personality in general. He wasn’t sure what had happened. It was normal for her to react to things this way. It bothered him, but he soon found his embarrassment mixing with overstimulation to create a heady cocktail that sent h

Movement against my chest woke me up and I rubbed my eyes as Meep looked up at me. I smiled softly and he slowly sat up, dark hair sticking up in every direction. Arms snaked around my waist and I squeaked as I was rolled over to the other side of Talon. He tucked me possessively into him and cupped my face, leaning down to kiss me. He never reached me. Meep launched himself onto Talon’s back and his scrawny arms wrapped around Talon’s neck. Talon sighed and closed his eyes. He took a deep breat

I was nervous and judging by Tyren’s face, he shared the sentiment. He flipped through the red-covered book and we exchanged a glance. We were in his classrooms. They’d been torn apart. Paint and other unknown substances thrown over the walls. Tyren’s desk was upright and the two of us stood around it. Our eyes roamed over the strange lettering. The words were combined Disputatio and Zunge letters. I wrinkled my nose. Not that I was an expert by any means, but I was confused. It didn’t look like

The air in the tent seemed too close. Potlyne moved around me. Her hands worked quickly and fabric attached to my limbs and body. A new, thin, long-sleeved white tunic. A thick coat with intricate swirls of gold thread embroidered over the collar and down the front to conceal the buttons. Simple tan pants and boots to finish it off. It was far fancier than anything I had asked for, but this was normal for Potlyne. I smiled as she made me an entire wardrobe to pack. My raised eyebrow was met with

@Geemeedee It’s already been touched upon albeit briefly. They discharged him dishonorably and basically shamed his whole family. Thanks for you comment ❤️

Only once had I feared Talon and it was nothing compared to now. His head tilted to the side as he slowly approached us. There was no reason to hurry. It was like a predator stalking wounded prey. He stopped a few feet away and his eyes scanned over the three of us. Anders and the woman seemed to be frozen in place. Talon’s face split into a smile that churned my stomach. His fangs were longer than I’d ever seen them, as were his claws. He looked again between the three of us. This time he pause

Short-sighted, reckless, and simply stupid. Anders had been lost on a tangent about the plan Talon and the others had in place for some time now. I was face down in my cell where I’d been dumped by the guards. I had no idea how long it’d been. Once again, I was having a hard time remaining conscious as a fever ripped through my body. I could hear Anders’ voice, but every now and then I would find myself lost in his monologue. There were gaps in my memory where I had to have passed out. Did he ev

Sometimes I wondered if I would ever be warm again. I knew my mind’s near hysteria was driving rational thought from me, but I couldn’t remember the last time I had been warm. The only thoughts I had at the ready were the chill creeping through my limbs, biting at my fingertips and nose, and the frigid air choking me with each painful breath. If I managed to get past those, I had the pain. It was a constant that thrummed under the cold. I was always aware of it and it kept me from losing conscio

It was short-lived. The laughter, the feeling of victory, the joy at having Amaris and even Rah back. We made quick work of the little red army and I shook my head. It was almost too easy now. Who did they think we were? I scanned the area around us. The majority of our group was done fighting, leaving the stragglers to Wren. It was the simple pleasures with that one. He catapulted himself around, launching from man to man. I caught Talon’s eye and started making my way to him. He smiled brightl

@headtransplant Kalian…suffer? I would never do that to him…

Talon had been quiet ever since he’d come back to the bedroom. The others had gone back to bed. Hopefully, they could get some rest before we set out to find Amaris, Loren, and Rah. I hoped they hadn’t made it too far, but Rah was slower. If we went quick, we thought we might be able to make up the ground. I sat up against the headboard, my pillows piled behind me as my gaze followed him around the room. It was foreign now, to not have him as a passenger inside my brain. “Are we going to ta
