Reconciliation over a naked bum
Quarterbear commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Reconciliation over a naked bum
Being open minded is the first step toward so many things in life in general, and sex specifically. Being willing to try something new is a big step for Neil. So great to see him explore. hopefully, Alex is willing to let things grow naturally for the two of them. It seems that he is open to learning, as well. -
Too fucking complicated
Quarterbear commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Too fucking complicated
Neil reminds me of a buddy from my college days. He was very adventurous sexually but it had to remain a secret from everyone. The day he thought someone might know what was going on, he packed up and moved from Lexington to Indianapolis. That was almost 40 years ago. I personally never heard from him again. I know from others that he’s a divorced father of three. Wife left because he kept getting caught with men. Hopefully, Neil is smarter. -

Confessions and Confidences
Quarterbear commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Confessions and Confidences
I like the fact that Neil took the initiative to test the waters. So much easier for everyone when the straight man makes the first move. I’m really impressed by the slow gradual move toward a relationship. Very rewarding to be friends that happen to fall into bed than f**k buddies that have to decide whether they like each other or not. -
The foundation to have been put in place. I look forward to seeing the characters develop. lila seems like she is going to be a handful. Charlie is an enigma. Neil on the other hand seems to be more than curious about Alex. Based on the title, I assume they become more than just chums. I’m really looking forward to seeing how things evolve for the two of them.

Very interesting trajectory for the characters. Definite growth for all of the main characters. Each one seems to have found themself and ready to truly take off. it was a good story and more importantly, I see great opportunity for each character to play significant parts in future stories. maybe one of the minor buildings could become a pub. Wouldn’t it be great to have Boots and Jocks just outside your back door? I personally would enjoy the thought of Charlie, Gus, Joss, and Tom strutting their bits about with a pint in hand while Louis frantically tries to sketch. The Dick-ionary could gain valuable material!

I share your appreciation for the characters’ growth

Dinner with Pericles & PJ
Quarterbear commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Dinner with Pericles & PJ
The prospects that are now open for discussion are enormous. Gus is willing to pose for Louis. It sounds like Joss and PJ are as well. All of these hot men on display and the possibility of seeing more of them at a “boots and jocks” event. The pace of things is really picking up, but still no clue as to the location of the artifact. -
The characters are really growing. Developing bigger personalities. It’s great to see the story evolve. Looking forward to seeing how things develop and whether the revelation of the artifact’s location affects each of them. wouldn’t it be a twist that Ian has known the location all along? Aunt was using it as a door stop or to prop the window open in her sewing room when she wanted just a little breeze. It’s been lying at the foot if her bed since her passing. Nobody asked him, so he didn’t bring it up!

That is a showing I’d attend. Many years ago, when I was living in the French Quarter, a local men’s bar had a similar photo album. It was called the “Dick-ionary”. A collection of men that frequented the bar. I thought it great to see how my i could recognize. Most of us played volleyball, tennis, etc. so had seen each other in the locker room often, or in the dark rooms at various clubs (including Club New Orleans). I think men should be more comfortable with being seen by other men. Just consider the options. Grouped by various sports, leather clubs, or even neighborhoods in the city.

I picture it being used to hold a door closed or as something to balance an uneven table or cabinet -
Lewis & Charles Discover a Murder
Quarterbear commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Lewis & Charles Discover a Murder
It is great to see the characters developing. It would be fun to see the characters develop further in a sequel with fun, romance, and more interaction. This is a great core group. I’d like to see whether Charlie, Lewis, PJ, and JB might develop a friendship. Tom and Ian are growing into themselves. There are multiple options. Although, I am curious to learn whether the artifact materializes and has a major effect. -
Charlie is a great character to develop as a romantic interest. He is sensitive, roughly handsome, and a skilled artist. Hard for him not to become someone’s romantic interest, in addition to a fun time in bed. although, I would characterize this story as more mystery. A little extra romance never hurts

The Holiday: More snapshots & the return

Great holiday where everyone had the comfort of being who they need to be. I’m really looking forward to following them as they fit these people back into the life that waits at home. -

Great to see things moving forward for everyone. A new house, new living arrangements, possibly even more. -
Great narrative to set up many possible tangents to come. I catch myself checking online each morning for a new chapter. So excited when I see something new!

The Holiday: At the Port
Quarterbear commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in The Holiday: At the Port
Great character progression. Slav is stepping into the character of a true bear. I love the look of a big man with a PA swinging from a thick piece of meat. Maybe someday he and Rory can link their PAs. I had a couple of friends that used to enjoy that little tug of war 😈 -
The Holiday: Nude beach
Quarterbear commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in The Holiday: Nude beach
The title says it all. This is a non-conventional family. we need to keep in mind that there is no stereotypical, one hundred percent correct way for a family to evolve. This family is a great example of “logical family” clearly being better than “biological family”. Rory is being allowed to learn and grow in a safe setting. At its base foundation, isn’t that a key function of a family? Keep you safe while you become the best version of yourself. Gavin and Jason are learning to be the parents that their two boys needs. In this case , that just happens to involve helping a third man that also needs their support. im anxious to read where this family goes. -
Epilogue -- Christmas Eve Eve
Quarterbear commented on Dayne Mora's story chapter in Epilogue -- Christmas Eve Eve
This is a great story. However, I have read more of it in other locations. Is there a place where I can read the story from beginning to end @Dayne Mora? -
Character development and narrative are both great, per usual. I continue to be surprised how I leave each story feeling as if the main characters are old friends and I also know even the minor ones. Thank you for another great story. I’m ready for the next chapters.

I found the writer by accident and am very happy that I did. His story and character development are excellent. I could happily read a complete series about Vince, Gray, their family, and the expansion of the gay commune. This is a great expansion on Armistead Maupin’s Logical Family. Sometimes your biological family can be your logical one, as well, even though it might not have started that way.
