There are no words to describe how much this story has touched me over the past couple months. The journey each character has gone through to make it to where they are now, and hopefully will continue on is so remarkable. You have a gift, one that should be shared with everyone. I was so emotionally connected to the story the whole time that I've been crying for what seems like hours knowing that it's over. When I read your message at the beginning of the epilogue my heart fluttered like I was going on a first date with either one of these boys. Finally, the way you ended it was perfection! The words, the actions, and the hope left for their story together is all we need, and if we know anything about these characters we don't need a second story (although we'd like one) to know that they'll get back together and Derek will love Charlie just like he did when he was picking his nose when they were 11 years-old. Thank you so much for this story, I feel privileged to have read it.

Is it kind of bad that I didn't expect/want them to end up back together, that is to say IF they eventually do end up back together. As we all know that reconciliations, though the favored outcome don't always work out, especially if Kevin had started to see the changes in their individual personalities, goals, and directions in life. Sometimes people just grow apart without noticing it, and maybe after this event Kevin found that he needed to find dependence in himself rather than others, to lead his life. Either way regardless of the outcome, this story was great, I love it when you can feel the emotion portrayed through the characters.
