I seem to remember a one or two week preview of Magic Man Chapter Two being the prize for a writing contest. However, that writing contest was...a long time ago, and chapter two obviously hasn't been posted. No idea why Comsie hasn't released it, but I'm fairly certain that there are plans to continue the series.

Well I'm one of the most non-creative people you could find, so it's not so easy for me. Getting a story idea, and planning out how exactly things will happen are two different things (Alteast, for me they are). The original story idea usually comes from other stories I've read. For instance, after reading Comicality's GFD I became interested in writing a vampire story. I took elements from other stories I liked and built them around vampires until I had my own unique idea. After getting the original idea for the story I start thinking about the plot. I don't really write anything down on paper, so this is all just rolling around in my head on a daily basis The plot is the only easy part. Once I have the background of the story set up, it really just comes to me. Getting the scenes set up is really the hardest part. You know what's going to happen, but you don't know when or where. This is when I really draw on my life. A few weeks ago I was on vacation with my family at a theme park and we were wasting tons of money on those fixed carnival games trying to win a stuffed animal. As I was standing there watching my brother miss a three point shot into a too-small basket, I thought, "Hey, this could be a good scene for this plot development to happen." This just keeps happening until I have the whole story planned out. After that I get to work and make a character chart, etc. etc. Some people can get a story started and decide where the plot's going as they write. I'm most definetly not one of those people

I don't think the My Only Escape CD Set is anymore complete than what Comsie has posted on his site. If anything, I think the CD Set is missing chapter seven, seeing as how it came out fairly recently. I haven't ordered the set, so I may be wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure that's correct.

Voy.com has been down for the last couple days now. Com sent out an email saying he would post it asap when voy is back up.

Yeah, I was kind of thinking that Justin's secret would be revealed by mistake, like someone from the lot seeing him doing something that he shouldn't be able to do. The fact that he just admitted it like that took away alot of the side conflicts. I was kind of hoping Justin would kick Trevor's ass before his secret was found out

Yes, very good chapter! The part about love and lose is a little unsettling, I don't like it when people die in the end Especially Taryn, he's like the best character in the story. Btw, June 8th is a Wednesday, I think you mean June 11th.

You can start with GFD, that's my favorite too, but in the end you'll end up reading it all. Trust me, ever story on comsie's site is worth the read. I know dewey's stories is kind of confusing when trying to put the series' in the right order. That's not the case with Comsie, his series aren't connected like Dewey's (which are really all one big series). The only possible exception to that is the "Rainy Day" update, which is very cool, so make sure you hit the Website+ button and check it out ;-)

I understand your interpretation of the 'extra' developement but the idea of Reading as purely defensive doesn't sit comfortably with me. I would agree that it is a passive ability (one recieves thoughts as it were) but it is still one hell of a tool (Zero's almost "future predicting", Justin's attack on Trevor) and it can be concievably offensive. A possessive, jealous or malicous personality could develop into a Reader in a desire to 'own' another's mind, much as Trevor or Micheal's abilities but to much more of an extreme. And lets not forget that Justin is both a Mimic and a Reader. His abilities are not purely 'defensive'. Just because he's our hero does not negate the fact that he has been offensive, agressive and impulsive Although Justin has been provoked in many of the circumstances he has still shown the capability - and is the typical surly teenager I get the feeling people are going to jump on me on this one - but trust me! I love Justin! I do! I'm just not blind to the faults that Com has obviously taken careful time and effort to put in (why else would Justin need Com's help?) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mmmk I think your missing ALOT of points here. Maybe you should reread the entire story or something, I've read it more times than I can count Anyways, I'm pretty sure the term 'Newblood' refers to those who still have some of their original blood left, meaning they've only fed once. Next, Justin's extra's are NOT based on offensive desires. It was mentioned that his reading ability was created because of his mistrust of people, with his mimic ability being created by his thirst to have other people's "not so screwed up" lives. His 'blast' ability is completely offensive, but was created from pushing his emotions down, not anything related to aggresivness. And then there's that thing about developing a reading ability because of a want to 'own' a mind. I think you missing the entire point with this stuff. Reading is just that, being able to read someones mind. A reading ability has nothing to do with "owning" a mind. Zero's ability will "absorb" someone's mind, but the person he absorbs will still come out unscathed. Then theres that entire thing with Dennis. I doubt he was a reader..I think by 'absorbing' to much, it meant that he was learning to fast, like they're trying to stop Justin from doing. I think were all reading in to this WAY to much, but alot of this stuff is really farfetched....

I didn't see that anywhere .... and I don't think the mimic himself was absorbed into zero, it was the last person who knew the true story ABOUT the mimic. And I didn't see anything about multiple readers..just zero and the one person he absorbed. And a reader doesn't have to be 'strong' to be close to anyone, the way I read it is that Zero has just lost control of his extra, and it absorbs everything. Making him the most powerful reader around, someone who can absorb an entire mind, but still the most out of control.

Well the Two Week Preview of GFD Chap Ten was the prize for the last writing contest. The other prizes were all one week previews. I think Com sent out the prizes a couple weeks ago, or atleast he said he was about to and he hasn't said anything about them since, so I think he did Anyways, if the prizes go as planned, then GFD wont come out for over a week, seing as how the one week preview stories havent come out yet. On the other hand, if Com sent out the prizes a while ago like I thought he did, then the winners might be getting more than the one week preview, and he might release GFD with the other prizes.. I'm just rambling now ... I'm as excited about the next chap as you are, and it's been delayed for a long time, but every good thing gets delayed, right? Or atleast, most computer games do..

I think it said Zero is 120-130 years old, and he abosorbed the mind of the last person who knew the Mimic, or atleast the true story about it.

He hates 'readers'. And Taryn is the only one that actually knows he's a mimic. My guess is that they won't figure it out until Justin saves all their lives from something

Naa Comicality has never really shown up when Justin is in trouble, or he would have stopped him from doing all that stupid stuff. I bet it'll be somneone from the lot who finds him, maybe Taryn because he knows Justin the best... But Comsie has always surprised us with his plot twists, so I'm pretty sure thats not whats gonna happen

I think he was refering to how Justin was at the Hospital to see Richie at the end of "Pride and Prophecy". My bet is that he's already dead. It's been months since Justin turned, right? I'm pretty sure it says he may only have a few weeks left in the first chapter...
