    Finally! Patience is not one of my strengths and I have the attention span of a five year old a lot of the time and was just giving up on the light bulb ever turning on in young Jacob's mind when this chapter's climax smacked me hard upside the head 🙃 I have read quite a few serials from the Victorian era to the present day and this is some of the best cliffhanger writing that I have ever seen. I am hooked on these characters and fascinated by the world building.
