Thank you so much for your comment! Indeed, I too was once influenced by a despicable character like this - to the point where it actually almost made me cry for a week. And so I attempted to recreate such a strong emotional impact character with Bruno. He is meant to be a character that looms over the entire story. That no matter where you are in it, no matter if he's mentioned in a passage or not, you never forget his power over and influence on the characters. And as for the headspace - I actually find myself surprisingly clinical whilst writing. But when I go over to proofread and edit - that's when the reality of what I wrote truly hits me. It is not easy, let me tell you, but I think that the messages I want to tell with this story are worth it (as sad as the story itself actually is). Indeed so. I try to make sure it is very clear just what kind of mood I'm pushing for, so I try to hammer it in a bit. Maybe too much at times. Though I want to prevent this from being seen as a typical "smutty romp" because it'd undercut the message I'm trying to convey with the story.

Hello! I am new to this site, although I've lurked around without an account for a while. I'm excited to be surrounded by authors and readers alike! I don't write a lot, but I am hoping to change that. I primarily like writing sweet yet serious stories, but sometimes I like to dabble into something darker and more messy. Waking up to the clattering of pots and pans surely was a reminder that Lucian was back 'home' again. Normally, what'd wake him up in the dorms would be screaming from the hallway or fucking from a neighboring room. He stretched on his bed and bathed for a bit in the meager sunlight which the small window in his room afforded him. Lucian was not a morning person and it took a minute for him to fully come to. But then the memories from the previous evening slowly crystallized in his head again -
