Life events have put me waaaay behind in my reading. Finally finished reading Get There and your posts in the final few chapters led me here. I am not a wordsmith; hopefully, I'll make these comments coherent. I have no problem with many characters as long as they serve a purpose in the story. I love long chapters as long as they are not written solely to take up space. Stories that are intricate and well written will keep me coming back for more. You're on target with all three. Keep up the good work.

While I was perusing older stuff at Nifty, I came across this story. The last posting in the high school index was dated September 18, 2006. The posting itself was dated November 4, 2001. The author mentions getting lots of e-mails, but I couldn't find an address listed anywheres in the story. I really enjoyed what was there. I would like to e-mail the author and let him know that. I'd also like to find out if it was ever finished, mayhaps somewhere else. Thanks for any assistance!

Compliment, indeed! I have all the Deryni books and reread the series every so often, chronologically. The last book was the only disappointment, as I don't think it added much to the over-all story. Rory and Paine with boyfriends? LOL Methinks your take would make an interesting alternate series. I enjoy reading. Stories that can suck me in and make me a part of them are particularly enjoyable. In that you have succeeded. Keep up the good work.

I really hate to start reading a story that is not finished. I linked to this one from another site. It was not marked as "in progress", so I thought it was finished. Imagine my surprise (as I stayed up till 1AM to finish the last chapter - today was sooo rough) as I realised it's not over! While sci-fi, as such, is not my cup of tea, I do enjoy a good fantasy story (I tend to separate the genres). This one is pretty damn good. I have neither the time nor the inclination to go back and read all the posts on the previous chapters so I don't know if this has been mentioned before. Magic, shields, rapport, Healers, arcane duels.....it's Deryni in the 21st century! Add in adepts and the name Sinclair and methinks the author is a Katherine Kurtz fan. I await the final chapters and look forward to finding more good stories at this site. mel
