Large flakes of snow were coming down hard, propelled by a very strong eastern wind. While wondering why Syria

Lord Anarton looked over his students, then back to those they had captured in the taking of the old fortress. He glanced over at the structure and back to the nineteen remaining captives with a bemused tug on his twirled mustache. This base, while full of horrors, was nothing like some of her other strongholds. Either Gambra was slipping or this was not nearly as an important of a stronghold as he had first thought. The problem was, it had held the life links of several spell pages and ha

Kandric knelt next to the gate stone and started touching various symbols even as several powerful beings watched on in awe. Off to the side, Queen Jostallis glanced over at her lead Ruinseeker, "He seems to have a good handle on how to read Mythling." Duke Mathard gave Queen Jostallis a slight bow, "My Queen, I have seen him read Shamanistic as well. His mentor, Glaster, has spared no expense in Premier Kandric's training and the boy is beyond close to the man from everything he has told

I don't post often, but I need some help if anyone can provide it. I am working on Kandric 29 but lost almost all my background information. I know Navigator had almost all of it but I cannot contact him on the e-mails I have on file. I am wondering if anyone here has any background information on Kandric I may have sent them so I can use it to rebuild some files and fill in some holes I have in what I have already rebuilt.

The upper floor of the Green Goblin had become more of an infirmary than the Inn it was meant to be. The lead Healthman for the caravan rented an extra room following the arena matches and spent most of the night trying to put kids back into some semblance of one piece. As dawn broke, the man once again entered Glaster’s room after a brief nock. “Commander, I once again must recommend you do a magical healing, at least on Klandon and Mylan. It will be another day if not two before they wil

I sent off Kandric Chapter 28 for posting. I hope it will be availble to everyone soon. Since this is totally out of the norm for me to post a Kandric chapter this time of year I felt any interested reader should get a head's up. Be aware: This is a very long chapter and starts tying everything together so there are lots of bopuncing between plot lines. I treid to make it as seemless as possible, but those who know The Kandric Saga, also knows how many plot lines I have going so as much as I tried, it may get a bit confusing to some... Hope not, but it is what it is. After 60 typed pages, I figured I had tweaked it about all I could. Hope you all enjoy. Kyle

Duke Mathard stared at the opening beyond Kandric with a stunned expression for a few seconds. When he finally spoke his voice shook slightly, “The lost passage to Under River… No wonder we couldn’t find it!” Kandric’s facial features scrunched up in total confusion, “I do not understand. All the history books say Under River was locked up, buried, so the Drow royalty could never get out!” Duke Mathard took a couple of deep breaths before finally tearing his eyes off the dark passage

for those who write multiple stories at the same time:
Kyle Aarons posted a topic in Writer's Circle
I am wondering, as I often do, how other writers who have multiple stories adjust their minds to focus on a different on. For me it has almost always been mood based, but over the last several months, I have been almost totally stuck on one story (Defenders Series, Book One) I have churned out several chapters but for some reason, my mind will just not pull away and let me go to something else, this aggrivating me a bit, espeacilly since I have gotten a bit tired of writing on Defenders, but nothing else is clicking. Any one else out there ever had to deal with this? -
hey, it take a bit for me to get a new chapter out, but I have lots of other web storeis and Kandric is by far the hardest. I sure plan on a new installment for the end of the year.

Bryan rubbed his hand through what was left of the hair on his head, then looked around the suite. Just a few days ago he was the father of one, content to spend untold hours in a lab deep in the bowels of his ship. He was looked up to for his knowledge and abilities in the lab, and some as a dad, but for the most part he was very content to let the rest of the world deal with itself. As he looked into the faces of the five boys, two women, and one man now fixated on him and him alone, he wonder

Kandric glanced over to his three friends as they made their way past lines of Garm and Alphar, all of whom stopped what they were doing to give Kandric a quick bow. “Are you all alright going back into Bloody Rock?” Zeltoss was quick to nod as he pulled his Mace of the Dead. “I’d go through a river of fire if it meant staying with you.” Seldnat quickly nodded agreement, twisting the staff spear so it changed into a spear. “Ya be me teach’r and me friend. Me want to be next to ya Tea

Duke Mathard led Kandric out of the tent wearing the Black Dragon scale armor. At first Kandric tried to put on the green armor, but Mathard assured him since he was adamant about going back into Bloody Rock the black armor would be a much better choice. Mathard remained a bit closed lipped as to why; simply saying it would become apparent in short order. Even as Kandric gazed over at the dark green armor with some disappointment he was astonished at how light weight, comfortable, and flex

Bandurlok paced in the Great Throne Room of the Obsidian Fortress, his claws clicking against the black stone under him. Around him were those he knew to be totally loyal to his cause. Beyond the main doors, a full company of his best Dragonlings guarded the door and beyond that, all palace guards had been replaced by Bandurlok loyalists hand picked by those in the Throne Room with him. All entrances were locked down with portcullis and thick obsidian stone doors. Even as he held this meet

“I have no clue what to do now.” Kandric stated as he spit out another mouthful of the dragon’s blood. He poured the water skin over his head and shook it violently as he leapt off the body of the dead green dragon. As he did so he sent drops of water thinned dragon blood splattering everywhere. “Well, this is about the most disgusting thing I could ever imagine.” Zeltoss held up his hand, “Careful Kandric! Keep your sword away from the bulge under its neck. Its poisonous gas is still in t

Zeltoss ducked under a dagger thrust of yet another Hobgoblin before spinning and delivering a devastating blow into its back. The captured Mace of the Dead crushed several bones in the snarling beast’s backbone sending it into a twitching heap on the stone floor. Breathing hard he took a moment to eye the progression of the latest fight before moving in behind a pair of Morg which had cornered one of the Step Three students. He wasted no time delivering a massive two handed smash into the large

Jamon entered the gates of Slome with Vondum. This was the first time since his capture that he found himself in a public setting. The slave collar he now wore seemed to stick out, advertising he was now nothing more than a piece of property. Every being who walked by, it seemed, stared not at him but at the collar. Vondum noticed the change in Jamon almost immediately but remained silent. Partly he enjoyed watching the youngster squirm, yet the fact Jamon continued on and didn’t break dow

Kandric glanced back at the group from the Slome School with a bit of a smirk. Their inexperience showed from the moment they headed out for the overnighter at Bloody Rock. All the students had way over packed for such a trip and were now paying the price. Many of the kids labored under packs easily five times as heavy as the one Kandric carried and several of the students had gone on overkill mode with weapons as well as armor. Part of him wanted to push forward to teach them all a lesson, but

Kandric entered the town of Slome and for the first time in his life he got treated with respect from people he didn’t know just because of whom he was. The gate guards both moved to the side and gave him a slight nod. There was no attempt to stop him nor was there any of the normal questions about what his business was. The word had come down from the city guard leaders. The red haired Halfelf boy was someone who should be recognized on sight. Kandric hated to admit it, but it felt good.

Jamon went through his normal duties and made sure the rest of the slaves got fed. He looked up from the cooking fire as Sy came in with the Halfling boy Vondum had found in Slome. He could tell by the look on the boy’s face he had already had quite a training workout this morning. Sy nodded approval as he noticed most of the kids were busy, “There still be no sign of Kandric or Vondum?” “No sir. I am beginning to wonder if I shouldn’t feed Porma.” “Do so. If’n they show up I’l

Glaster waited until Klandon’s eyes shut for the night and the boy’s breathing become even before he slipped out of the inn well after most of the city had gone to sleep. The evening with the boy proved something deep within the boy was broken. The young prince was at a loss in a royal environment and was doing his utmost to fit in. Part of the boy liked the feel of power of his princely title, but another part used the position within the court to drive others away to hide how uncomfortab

Kandric finished explaining his vision for the boys in the dungeon and suggested the same thing could hold true for the much smaller population of girls held in the opposite side of the lower level of the building. He crossed his hands and leaned back on the chair as he glanced across the table where Rylop, Londow, and Sergeant Tardot exchanged hushed whispers. There was no question the three men found his idea both interesting and potentially profitable. The only real question was would they be

Glaster sat in the tavern section of the Green Goblin Inn watching Prince Klandon eat a large dish of Frost Elk stew with a determination seldom encountered in a boy unless he is very hungry. Ever since he had first talked to King Wyhrem about the assassination attempts on his son, he knew he had been missing something. So he continued to watch the boy closely, yet from a distance, as he sipped on a glass of Elvin whiskey What really bothered Glaster was the fact Klandon was also confused
