Be Mine - 1. Chapter 1

 

The first moment I saw you,

I wanted you to be mine.

But everything was so very wrong,

 

Wrong day!

Wrong place!

Wrong time!

 

All the stars refused to shine,

They disappeared that night.

 

I wondered all alone inside the darkness.

 

Someone else waited for you,

on another shore,

faraway.

 

It was his touch your body knew,

and the reason you had to go.

 

Just a name, that’s all you gave me,

with the sweetest sound from your lips.

 

Your voice, my only companion on so many lonely nights.

 

Time chipped away at my soul.

Would you ever return?

Would our paths ever cross again?

 

I didn’t need to fall…

I was already in love with that familiar voice that haunts my sleepless mind.

Is it possible to dream while wide awake?

Can it be?

 

His auburn locks were shorter now,

But those green eyes still held the same shine.

 

The sunlight only shone for him,

 

He returned

to be

just

mine!

Love lost and found again. A very good rendering that sparked a memory in me of my first crush. I got the feeling from this that age and waiting only made the reunion even better. That is what I'm hoping for in the future with my crush and this has given me a feeling that maybe my repressed memories weren't all that bad after all. :)

Well, when they leave the country, you think that they're gone forever...but he came back just for me! **giggles** This many years later and I still get tingly thinking about it :D Thanks Wayne!
