Liukas Soli's Heart - 2. Houses and Trees

Houses and Trees

By Liukas Soli

My love for you, is like the rays of the sun.

Have you ever seen anything so beautifully done?

How the light simply slithers through the houses and trees,

Something this beautiful right in front of you, do you see?

Today there are some clouds, grey and bold.

My love for you still young, never to grow old.

But you're drifting away, even I can can see it.

But I create my own sunshine, refusing to believe it.

As fierce as a storm, my boat begins to sink.

I don't know what I did, my brain cannot think.

I call and call and call you name,

But you ignore me, like a piece of trash, you treat me the same.

As the next few months pass me by,

Not a day passes, without tears in my eyes.

For, I've lost you, to the vicious seas.

I pray for the sunshine, to glisten through the trees.

But there comes a day, unexpededly so,

You send me a message, and away we go.

You told me you're sorry, that you treated me this way.

You beg my forgiveness, you ask me to stay.

So now it's been a while, our love tried and true,

I spend the whole day thinking, thinking only of you.

And here you come, falling to your shaking knees.

My sunlight shines brightly, through the houses and trees.
