One Day Collections - 1. One Day
My first; the one that saved me. Also a special thank to Louis (LJH) for editing my initial ramble.
Sometimes it's all too much.
Even when you know others have it a million times worse, you just need an escape; you need a release. You need something. Anything. You feel weak, like nothing. You feel like you're just feeling sorry for yourself. You feel like you're just crying for attention when all you really feel is pain. Pain; bad enough that meaningless things set you off. A few words said or even a few more left unsaid, make you feel cold inside.
Like death.
It's bad enough that you don't even know where these feelings come from. You feel static. Unchanging. Fleeting moments of joy are, in reality, fleeting moments of ignorance. It's enough that you crave physical pain to make you feel something different. You think, "Why shouldn't I be able to hurt myself when everyone else gets to?" You start using that as your escape from the real pain; to escape life in general. You stop caring so much so that you feel totally empty and alone. You stop caring about life. You start thinking that death could be your final escape...
...However, you know that there is the chance something will change for the better, but until it does, you are forced to endure the suffering and the pain. It all starts to feel like a dream. You think you can see it in the distance and you've seen it in others, but it just doesn't feel real. It feels like nothing will ever change, like everything will just get worse. You try to think about hope; you really do. But you just can't. You just want it all to end; you just want it to be over. All that's left now is this idea of hope.
That's when you realize that you aren't totally alone. You realize that there are other people just like you. You realize that maybe some people who you haven't really thought about could care about you. Because of them, you know that the hope is real. It has to be. You know that you can't just stop. You realize that maybe you cant see the hope just yet, but you can accept that it really is there. You know you can't give up, because a part of you wants to keep going, to keep hurting so that one day you will find your way.
One day, you'll feel loved even though you already are.
One day, you can be accepted.
One day, you'll find the one you've been looking for.
One day, everything will change.
One day, it will get better.
My first; the one that saved me.
