For the record, I am against this. I don’t care how much it is supposed to help. But apparently I have to take the risk of humiliation to get ahead. So here goes.

Gods this is stupid… Am I supposed to write these like a letter? Who the fuck am I talking to? It’s not like Mira is ever going to read this.

Okay, let’s try this again. How does one start a journal? Dear Journal?

Well, if nothing else, I’ve laughed today. That’s about all I’ve done today though. Let’s see, it’s been… ten days since the… thing. The neighbour looked at me today. Creeps me out. I’m surrounded here, but there’s not much I can do about that. They can call their pack a family all they want. I still want nothing to do with them. I’m almost certain the only reason I am here is so they don’t feel bad for what happened.

Nope, still can’t say it. Mira says that will come with time. Do I really want it to though? I just want to put the whole thing behind me. And living near these beasts makes that impossible. I can’t be the only one who sees that, right?

Or am I supposed to pretend that living here is a good thing? One thing is for sure, as soon as I can leave, I will. If I escaped infection, there is no way I will wait around to become their prey.
