Poems n Ramblings - 1. A Brief Moment
A Brief Moment is a poem I wrote out of the loss of my soulmate.
Cut flowers share a beauty that transcends their death.
We see stars that have long since died, but they'll continue to shimmer n shine long after we're gone.
And in the great scheme of things we're all here for a brief, but significant, moment...especially in the hearts n minds of loved ones.

We see stars that have long since died, but they'll continue to shimmer n shine long after we're gone.
And in the great scheme of things we're all here for a brief, but significant, moment...especially in the hearts n minds of loved ones.
A flower plucked up,
to be enjoyed for but a moment.
Released to the heavens,
to shine as a star.
Long gone….
twinkling mischievously.
A reminder of memories,
and what the future holds.
Loss affects us in many ways, it's not so much about how we deal with it, it's the outcome - the results that count in the end.
