Longing - 1. Longing

Longing
By Phantom

Seeing him from a distance
Brings confusion and hope to my heart
I see him so, yet he sees me not
Why do you make me feel
Emotions I haven't felt in a long time

I buried these emotions for a reason
I buried them for a cause
Tell me that I care for you
Tell me that I feel for you
Yet you leave me with nothing but pain

I love to be near you
I love to talk to you
Yet it pains me so
I only want you to be happy
I only want you to smile

I would give you the world if I could
But i can't.
While you go home with whoever
I go home alone and sad

Who says a hook up is fun?
I care about people
Yet you don't

All I am to you is a fling and that’s it
You see me at the bar
Then you flee when you can
You call me for some fun
Then don’t talk to me for a week or so

I guess I am one of the old fashioned people
Who care about people
Who think of relationships
I cared about you
Then you killed me inside

Now all I want to do is hide
Now all I want to do is hide
