Mr. Mirror Mr. Mirror - 1. Chapter 1

The mirror lies to me
it remains cold with a vindictive smirk
it sells secrets to my head for the price of a penny
The chairman of the board won't accept MY two cents

I tell myself Mr. Mirror sees no depth
Mr. Mirror looks ahead with an ugly cyclops eye
you don't see through
I remind myself people have two!
eyes that is, peering, perceptive eyes

Oh the companionship of two
a pleasant pair

I've looked away
so I look up

I take in the reflection of the person
I stare

scanning the ugly form, I come to the face
weak chin
gaping mouth
awkward nose
cyclops eye, it blinks
I blink
tears stream down from the fold of its eye
I cry

people blink with only one eye, the second's for looks
looks of hate and fashionate looks
there is no pleasant pair
one and one make four
