Hesitation - 2. Chapter 2: What do you mean? Am I drunk?

The intent is to be humorous. Can anyone explain to me what humor is?

What do you mean? Am I drunk?

bye bugeye

When you throw love around

Someone is bound to get hurt

Lucky me

The problem is

There is an endless supply

Of the crap

Contrary to public opinion

Don’t call me a love-a-holic

Call me horny

I can’t send my love away

First off, he is not mine

Secondly, he doesn’t care

And dirty third, just visualize

Me shooting the bird

Love eventually makes you laugh

Out of desperation

Or is that constipation

You know how… live

Spelled backwards is evil

Well, love spelled backwards

Should be piss off

When growing up

Everyone, just everyone

Warned

Don’t run with scissors in your hand

I now believe that was Freudian

For keep it in your pants

There once was a love so sure

For a man magnanimously pure

But it soon turned sour

Cause love rents by the hour

And you can use all of this as manure

What do you mean?

Am I drunk?

Give me a sec

I got to go pee

Again

Admittedly, I know very little about poetry. In fact, a lot of it I just don't get . . . but I thought this piece was clever and interesting. It was bitter, but in a funny way, and the end totally cracked me up. Also, I loved the running w/ scissors reference. I tell my students that constantly! Now I'm gonna be thinking about this poem when I do . . .

I know even less about poetry. Poetry is one of those things most people dread will happen to them, like a traffic ticket. Thanks for reading my citation. :D
