Purgatory and Other Conversations - 4. Poem Four: My Last

My Last

bye Bugeye

I wanted to find the universal
While being vague about the specific
I could never be in the moment
When in bed with my conscious
I wanted you to touch me
Like the way I wanted to hush you
With my hand upon your panic
I could clearly feel surrender
To the quarrel that could wait until tomorrow
I could completely consume you
And let you destroy me
To what purpose but to follow
The beat of sorrow
I lose all my reality
That attribute of my humanity
The focus that turns me inside out
I’m flying outside normality
Here you belong to me

so compact for what it achieves...'my hand upon your panic' is one of the best lines i've ever read
Thank you. I like this one myself. I don't have any real craft or technique or knowledge, just too dumb to stop most likely.
