So I was thinking this week . Does that make everyone cringe? Today when I wrote this up. it is the 14th, so just a reminder to you all that we are now 10 days from my birthday and tomorrow will be 3 months away from Christmas. Now I don't want all of you all to fret and worry over having to get me pressies for both celebrations in the next 3 months! I know you all were planning on spending at least $50 Canadian ($12.50 US) on each present, so why don't you combine the two and each of you can give me a $100 present for Christmas . As I sometimes say in the my closing on requests... Thanking you in advance. Well with the weight of not having to buy me something in 10 days hanging over your conscious, shall we see what happened in the GA News Blog this week? Monday as I said in that blog, WOW. Our review team exceeded all of our expectations with a great Signature Author Special Review. Make sure you thank your friendly neighbourhood Review Team Member Jump on over to Tuesday and Renee brought an announcement for poets and authors to help with the 2nd round of Anthology Voting: Then is was a giant stride into Thursday, where Myr shared with us a new list of the September Anthology Flashbacks: Finally on Friday, Wayne sashayed into the blog and gave us another two great prompts: Oh, I bet you think I would go into the anouncements and stories as usual, but a certain pesky penguin spoke up and now as part of our regular weekly wrap up we will post how we did on the Story Goals the previous week. So here is how we did for 09/07 - 09/14/2019: Anthologies Author Anthology Questionnaire - Click here to participate Anthology 101 - New in the Anthology Forum. Wow, what a busy week Not only personally but also here at the GA News Blog! I won't bore you with my week although it was Tony the Tiger, Greeeeeeeeeeat! But shall we start off will US Thanksgiving week in the US of A. I'm sure with everything going on in our world's, day to day, and week to week, there is a few things that if we look at our own lives and leave out the rest, there is a lot to be thankful for. Although I'm not 'merican, I'm personally glad that I have GA to come to day to day if I want and see what is going on with people that I honestly do want to learn a bit more about. I'm happy for my family, friends and on most days, glad that I have a job. Realizing others may not have that, it makes you think of even the smallest things can make a difference. So if you are 'mercian or not, tell me at least one thing that you're thankful for this year? Let's get a long chain of answers on this week's question! Now, we did have a really busy week this week at the GA News Blog, as mentioned, so let's get the show on the road. Monday was a great day to kick off the week with a review from our newest member from the Review Team, W_L: Tuesday, our fearless leader put out a blog on a Deep Dive: Then it was a surprise on Wednesday for our Review Team to be thanked: Thursday was quite a exciting day. Not only for a new writing event, but also for reflection on what we call could do for Carlos Hazday: Now if you are thinking to yourselves that this is enough in one week, you are wrong So not including Sunday, we had six days in this week. That meant six blogs including this great article from Comicality. It is kind of scary : What would a wrap up be without looking back on all the Words of the Day we had: muskmelon, mastiff, ravish, dichotomy, nocturnal, pejoration, spermatozoon Upcoming Writing Events Long May You Run - A tribute to Carlos Hazday Entries due on Dec. 27, 2023. Sooooo, that should kick off the mood of this weekend Not really sure what is more scary, the song or the facial expressions of Bobby Pickett!! I had a certain European food and chocolate company send me a whole bunch of Halloween candy mini bars due to my current job! I have boxes and boxes of mini chocolate bars, not the best for a lifelong diabetic I know that Krista is expecting some but I think the UPS fee to send them to Kentucky might be a bit excessive. So what should I do with them? When I was a kid, I went out trick or treating and after Mom and Dad took me to the local children's hospital where I donated it. They in turn would get me some more diabetic friendly treats. Somehow over the years, hospitals seem to have asked not to have chocolate dropped off, I wonder why So what should I do with all this chocolate? I have Monday to decide so I'm sure you will all have very helpful suggestions A bit slower week at the blog this week Our first blog after the Weekly Wrap was actually on Thursday ! Valkyrie in addition to surveying the site about future anthologies, enlisted the help of @CassieQ on some tips on Writing for a Theme: Then on Friday, our trusty Prompt Team marked a Prompt-aversary Actually, they went back to pay homage to the man who was our prompt guru for years, @comicfan Saturday, Comicality wrote a interesting topic, one that piques your interest just by the title: No matter how many blogs are posted, Myr is logging in 7 days a week to give us new Words of the Day: proclivity, smorgasbord, efficacious, orchidaceous, per contra, garble, homogeneous Well if you want to help us meet our October goals, you have Sunday and Monday. Do our authors have 9 new stories and 82 new chapters? Think of it as nine stories of nine chapters and one has a prologue Just kidding, we all appreciate every single word you share with us all You're the best!!!!
