I need to cut out a portion of a song for my performance. Could someone point me to the correct software.

 

For e.g---If a song is 3 minutes long and I just need the portion from 1.20 to 2.11 minutes....Software please...Link would be preferred.

Audacity will do what you want, and it's freeware. Download it at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/.
