BeaStKid Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Seven things Harry Potter fans didn't notice http://www.rediff.com/movies/2007/oct/24dum.htm With J K Rowling [images] declaring recently that the headmaster of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in her hugely popular Harry Potter [images] series, Albus Dumbledore, is gay, a thousand analysts have found fodder for dissection. The Los Angeles Times, for instance, has a story headlined '7 clues that 'Potter's' Dumbledore was gay. [...] Nice points!!! BeaStKid
Adrian Michaels Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Eh, I didn't like that at all. It was all hindsight. You could have done that with ANY of the characters. (AKA, Harry's obsession with Malfoy in book 6. THAT's pretty darn suspicious if you ask me.) People are making way to big a deal out of this.
Thirdeye Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Well none of these things seem like much more then sterotypes to me. But I must admit the I predicted that Dumbledore was gay while reading the last book. It just made sense for some reason
Ieshwar Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I don't like it too much. They are trying to stereotyping, as Adrian said. As for the dress codes for Dumbly, every wizard and witch wear robes!! And just becasue he has a 'flaming' phoenix? Duh! Ieshwar
AFriendlyFace Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I agree with the consensus. Interesting read, but ultimately irrelevant since, as Adrian pointed out, this could have been done for any of the characters.
