So.... did all the ice melt 'cause of the volcano?

When you run Eyjafjallajokull ==> Icelandic to English translator ==> Eyjafjalla Glacier

Yes- as soon as the volcano went active, the glacier melted into water and steam.

But- Iceland is a rather large island and still has plenty of Ice to go around.

Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajokull began a series of eruptions March 19. This was the first major eruption of the volcano since 1821.

The volcano itself was covered by glaciers so the first came a flood of melt-waters and then a stinking reek of rotten eggs (sulphuric gas).
