  1. Who is this strange boy? What has he done to attract the Royal Guard's attention? Will he be able to escape with his life and freedom? Only time will tell.

    Chapter 2

“My liege, I humbly offer my own life in apology for the mistakes of the men. The Wizard has escaped.” said the head guardsman, Lord Bryant. He was a handsome man with long dark hair, as black as night, grey eyes, and a scar across his left cheek. His Second in Command, Lord Pasley, a blond man with not nearly as much grace or good looks, stayed completely silent next to him. They knelt before King Harry VI, his Royal consort Princess Gertrude, and the Royal Advisor Sir Davrem Ayabara, who sto

    Chapter 1

The night felt damp, though no rain fell. Our hero, if you can call him that, moved soundlessly through the dark, as though his feet never touched the ground. He was quite young - he looked to be in his late teens. He gripped a large staff with what seemed to be an eagle carved into the top of it. The sounds of a chase followed him. Men wielding swords were shouting to each other, and holding flaming torches aloft, trying to see through the veil of darkness surrounding them. He knew they were
  4. It was on the Russell Howard Show a while ago. Doesn't make me well up any less, now, though. =) He is amazing.
  5. My list of favourite bands/artists is endless. I'll keep it as short as I can. The Dresden Dolls, The Decemberists, Regina Spektor, Chameleon Circuit (What? I love Doctor Who.), IAMX, Frightened Rabbit, The Smiths, Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake, The Mountain Goats, The Magnetic Fields, Neutral Milk Hotel, Louis XIV, Arcade Fire, Rilo Kiley, Tilly and the Wall, Sigur R
  6. This is a really lovely idea, Viv. I think I'll do it, too. Thank you for sharing this. =)
  7. I would just like to open a topic about by own story currently on eFiction called The Chase. I would very much like any sort of feedback, and would be willing to answer any questions that won't ruin the story in some way. =) There is currently a Prologue and the first Chapter. Writing is a very personal thing to me. I usually only write things for myself, and only myself, but this one I've sort of fallen in love with, and wanted to share it. I usually delete the stories I write a month or so after writing them because I get bored of them. But this one, I felt, was different. The story is based around the prologue, which I wrote as a stand alone short story, a year or so ago as a small personal challenge. Sometimes I think I don't describe things enough and just have a lot of talking between the characters. I kept coming back to back to the story and suddenly thinking of ways I could take the story, until finally a few weeks ago I decided to write down a story outline on my iPhone while I was on the bus. xD I am kind of excited about this story, even though I'm now having a small amount of trouble with how I think the Second chapter is turning out. I think I'm just going to complete the chapter and rewrite bits after. =) Anyway I think I've talked too much here. I'll get on with a small description of the story. I'm going to take it from chapter 1, not the prologue. The prologue is, after all, just a prologue. The Chase is a fantasy story dealing with a Mysterious Wizard on the run from the Royal Guard. In escaping their clutches he was stabbed by one of them and flew away, annoying some cows along the way. Mid-flight, above a field. he collided with another Wizard, by the name of Adrian, who will be a very large part of his life. Who is Louis, and what is his real name? Why does the Royal Guard want him so badly? How does Princess Gertrude hold so much sway with the running of the Kingdom, and why did she save the life of Lord Bryant? These questions will all be answered in due time. I hope you enjoy reading this story as much as I enjoy writing it. =)
  8. I hope he has to get his tonsils out, and it "ruins" his voice.
  9. I lol'd. I will so internet-high five you for that.
  10. I think I'd be terrified if someone spat out their own face, too. =P
  11. The Borg. For I am an out and proud Star Trek geek. Also that Zombie baby from whatever one of the Romaro films it was. Gives me the shivers. Also it's not exactly a fright, more cringey and unwatchable, but in Saw 2... the needle pit. I've never recovered.
  12. Sorry for posting on a year old thread, but I just wanted to say how much I genuinely loved these stories. They were so well written and had a really good concept. I was rather sad when I finished reading them all If only I had half of your talent. I bow to you, dkstories. =)
