In most corporations, once a board is elected in the shareholders meeting, every board member's vote has equal weightage. Though of course, in reality, when a boardmember owns 51% of the shares, other boardmembers tend to acknowledge that.
But since Jordan's father and two of his allies are on the board, they actually have quite a lot of power with 3 votes. And you can't exactly remove board members during BoD meetings - those happen in Shareholder Meetings. Which is why typically when there is an AoC (acquisition of control) or any major buyout, they'd have a shareholder meeting right away to re-elect the board.
