I am totally confused because of various POV from which this story is written and I sort of lost track of the plot. Has the cellist tried to commit suicide by asking the oboist to fist-fuck him to death ? Did I get this right ?

I very much like this story because of the setting and the characters but I find it sometimes quite hard to believe : are the enforcement agencies in the US really so pitifully clumsy and inefficient ? And that matter of honeymooning with a holiday package won in a raffle ... Even I, who has never done anything to be at threat from anyone, would know better than to go holidaying in an unknown place paid by an unknown company, especially without any proper checking !!! Could you please give this story a nice ending ? I just want to remember the sailing and the cute boys when all is told ...
