  1. Thank you! You are my new bff. -- Wild Saturday night reading look out.
  2. I know I didn't make this up, but it's been killing me that I can't find it: The premise is basically a rich casino owner buys the time (and other things) of younger male down on his luck a la pretty woman style to pretend to be his boyfriend for his mother's visit to town. Of course they fall in love after an appropriate amount of angst and drama. Please! If anyone has the link or knows where I can find this story, let me know! Thanks!

    Paternity

Love this entire series, been lurking for a long time. There's never a dull moment. I might be the only one but I love your character JJ, he's complex and interesting. I hope you can feature him sometime.
  4. I'm such a sucker for a happy ending that most likely I wouldn't, that's probably limiting me though bc I've been blindsided by a death of a character before as a reader and ended up enjoying the story the more so for it. But it has to be done incredibly well and if it's hinted at early (prologues set in current time with stories that "flashback" with main character deaths or even break-ups or general sadness put me off too)... There's actually a story on here by an author I really enjoy that began with the main character being alone and trying to move on from a break up and as soon as the story flashbacks to discuss the relationship -- I found it very hard to hear all the wonderful, shiny moments of the 2 characters so I put that story on hold to read later (maybe when it's completed so i can peak at the last chapter to see if they do get back together! )
  5. Hi All! Long-time lurker here as well. I decided to join after all the site changes because after I got used to the new navigation of the site, it really does seem easier to participate and find new stories to read. Great job to all involved with that!
  6. Ha, I know this is an old post but I did the exact same thing reading The Beard (I do admit it was the 2nd read that made me notice the reference to Do-Over but I recently just found Dan's stories so I might have read the Beard out of order) -- I like to think there is a 5th story not yet written that ties up everything neatly and everyone has a wonderful life. Because if it's in the other Do-Over timelines, then it changes The Beard story too when the time travel occurs again (mind warp!)....
  7. Thanks so much for the welcome! I've been a lurker for a long time but it's kind of nice actually participating a bit.
  8. Not sure if I can add to this because most of my writing is never posted because I truly do it for myself and I keep it private. However I have been thinking of maybe posting some things on-line. But I would still keep it private to my real life friends and family because if I don't, then I think I would censor my stories according to their sensibilities and they would not be the same.

    Millennium

I've been reading the CAPs series forever and finally have decided to stop lurking for a bit and say how much I'm enjoying it. I love the characters, they're fun, over the top and real at the same time. The wedding was perfect and sentimental but Brad and Robbie deserve much goodness especially to make up for the madness you put them through in the earlier chapters of Millenium.
