    I'm going to have to check this out. I've been battling a nasty bout of writer's block and I'll take just about any advice/tips I can get.

    I've yet to discover a sure-fire way of dealing with writer's block. In fact, I have been 'suffering' from it for about a year or two now. I believe I burned myself out writing way too much at one time, and then all of a sudden everything just came together all at once and killed my drive. I am still trying to recover from it. At one point, I was trying to write oneshots or small things just to kick start my need to write. It hasn't been a consistent way of dealing with writer's block, but it helps at times and I am slowly trudging through it.

    I'm pretty surprised at the poll results, but maybe that's because of my experience in certain places. I picked 'Modern' in any case. I have never been a huge fan of fantasy, although I do like science fiction at times. I prefer for my scifi to be visual in that regard, so I lean more towards movies and web comics when I need my scifi fix.

    I tend to post my stories on adultfanfiction.net and y-gallery as well, but I haven't read a whole lot and even my writing has suffered a massive blow. I'm going to have to comb this thread to get some ideas on where I would fit in with my stories!

    Hello, hello. I am quite obviously new here, but definitely not new to the world of reading and writing. I have been a writer for 10+ years and I have been writing gay fanfiction and original fiction for about half that. I suppose my reason for being here is to broaden my horizons in hopes of posting in a new community. Anyway, I hope to meet a lot of new people, find some advice, read some stories and maybe even post my own.
