Outside the sky was a serene blue, cloudless, and sharp. A blank pallet begging to have something done with it, even if it was to mar it with streaks of white clouds or contrails left behind by unseen airliners. Ulysses had his chin propped on his knuckles, elbows straddling his open history book which he was actively ignoring. His eyes stared out into the expanse of blue that was framed by the window of the class room. He imagined his body going limp in his desk, then by some unseen force pu
Even after a month Ulysses had yet to step inside the library but he was actually surprised to see it was some what crowded. There were several students milling around, some working at the large round tables that were strewn about the lobby. Others sat at a bank of computers, and from the few glances Ulysses was able to steal, none of them were looking at school sanctioned material.

I really hope that right around chapter five you guys will be pleased as things begin to heat up in Ulysses' life, and thanks for taking the time to give the feedback.
Thank you! I really appreciate your thoughts on this and approving it for being added. As for how this is going to be different? I guess you'll have to keep coming back to read future updates.
Ulysses is just another kid trying to make sense of the world and where he fits in it. His family has bounced around the country due to his father's job and Ulysses finds himself at yet another new school for his freshman year. It'll be a year of ups and downs as Ulysses deals with his past and his sexuality. But he isn't going to do it alone because he's about to make some new friends.
The two wrestled, muscles straining in a desperate match. The hollow "thwap" of the muzzled 9mm, two rounds rip into the rooftop. A knee comes up as the other's arm is swung down at full force. A grunt of pain, he's a professional. There is no crying out. Instead the gun clatters to the roof top. A fist to the gut. Disarmed, the other stumbles back trying to refocus as his breath retreats from the blow.
The knife leapt silently from its sheath, hissed as it cut a large arch through the
I'm really enjoying this. Everyone feels real and while the material is a bit sad the little jumps back that help establish people are sweet and fun. Also I like that you've left out the flashback titles in this chapter, you do a great job of leading into the flashes that you don't need the title. I look forward to where this goes.
It's funny, I don't find myself enjoying Katey Perry's Firework, but I love the video. Every time the young boy looks over his shoulder at his abusive father and his "fireworks" begin to flare I can't help but think its a perfect looking adaptation of Jubilee's powers from the X-men. Yeah I'm a dork.
As for the topic, I've fallen in love with The Rural Alberta Advantage this year. I suggest their tracks Frank A,B, Stamp, or Muscle Relaxant.
I've always enjoyed Dom Luka's works and have recently fallen in love with KingdombytheSea's Social Skills. I just burned through Quonus10's Second Shot, and couldn't stop. Right now I'm enjoying the plight of Blake in A New Life by Acedias.
I realize that most of these are from the Favorites list but I've just started exploring after and will check on some of the stuff listed above.
Just saying hi,
Hoping to take the plunge and publish a story or two and as the FAQ says this is where I'm to start. While I know he hasn't been heard from in a while I wanted to give thanks to Dom Luka who first brought me to the site with his works, and the recent inspiration I've found for writing after reading some of Quonus10 and KingdombytheSea's works.
