  1. A young man wakes to find himself in a life that defies everything he ever deemed possible... Is he able to leave his old life behind and accept his new life in a world that makes little sense and offers to break him at every turn?
  2. Relationships have always been a sore point for me; I had really never needed a physical one. When all of my friends were coupled, I would always be sitting with them like a poor unfortunate that was still waiting for his one and only. But it was never like that for me. The truth is, I liked being single. Not so I could go out on the lash every weekend and pull a woman, take her home, give her all I'm worth then wake up with a brick in my brain naked with a complete stranger the next morning. I
  3. I kinda agree with everyone on most things here. I don't understand the logic behind it. A video game isn't going to turn someone gay. I was gay before i started playing tomb raider on my PlayStation... I just didn't know it because i was too young to think about it. A video game isn't going to make someone switch sexuality, just like it isn't going to make someone shoot up a school... If everyone was that impressionable, the world would be in an apocalyptic state right now just from people watching the nightly news. If you are concerned with what a movie, or music, or a video game might turn your child in to... it's not the video game that needs looking at. For example, i have played the first two Mass Effect games, several times, and went for the male - female romance option... I have seen many films that portray the love that a man and woman share... I have personally listened to romance music from a man to a woman and a woman singing to a man and have seen plenty of man on woman action in various forms of media... and was i influenced to be a straight guy? Did it make me desire a woman? NO! I am GAY all the WAY, and that's the WAY it's going to STAY...OKAY!
  4. I kinda agree with everyone on most things here. I think that parents jump on the band wagon when they realize that homosexuality can be an option in a video game... But do they play them? I am sure some parents do, but many don't. They are getting up in arms, and what for? Over the possibility that their child might see some homosexual action? Firstly, if they have an issue with homosexuality, that is their individual issue, and as responsible adults, i don't feel they should be showing their impressionable children how to be intolerable. Secondly, history has shown that when you withhold from a child, they try all the more to get. so if they want to play a videogame, at some point they will.
  5. I love it... but to be honest i kind of haven't been on it in ages. BUT i love it. I like the character creation thing too... took me forever to get the hips right. Was a bit put off that you can't create your whole party, but one pawn is better than nothing. Its a great game that i have every intention of going back too soon. Would have liked a bit more by way of jobs, but you never know, they might bring out some DLC? Although I am loving being a magic archer. The only other game where i have been able to create my whole party was Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the starry skies (NDS). Which is a cute game, good story. So, i will have a look into Icewind Dale.
  6. It is going to have to be PS3 for me... I do love my Xbox, we have had some great times together... But Sony is just more humble. I mean, i am all for accessorizing, but when Microsoft has you paying daft money for things you get free (or cheaper) with a PlayStation. It just seems to me like Sony is more conscious of what the customer is receiving where Microsoft seems more conscious with what they are receiving from the customer. For example... Xbox has you signing up for Xbox gold to play online, to watch media players, etc... PlayStation has free access to internet, a browser and all online connectivity is free as far as they are concerned. The controllers; With my Xbox, i got a wireless controller, batteries included. With my PlayStation i got a rechargeable controller, (As standard) with a lead to connect it to the PlayStation. For my Xbox, i had to buy a rechargeable controller pack separate, at a very silly price, which didn't last very long so ended up buying a cheap controller that you plug in to a USB port. There are a few other quirks, like how they keep changing the Xbox dashboard... which seems to get more and more complicated each time they update it. It feels more like a media center than a games console now. PlayStation just has the Cross Media Bar (XMB) keep it simple straight forward, does most of the things an Xbox does and it's easy to find stuff... That's just me personally. I love my Xbox, good times, still use it, but PlayStation is just more reliable... and less noisy. Also PC's are great for gaming. There is so much more you can do on a computer, modding and managing your game play... it's just chaos trying to keep up with the latest tech, graphics cards and upgrading... repairs... and that is if your tower and motherboard will accept these new upgrades. And laptop's are okay but you know it will be obsolete after a year or two. It's all very expensive for me, so i just stick to my consoles. Hand held's get my vote too.
  7. I reckon video games are an art form. Why not? I don't mind what the consensus says on it personally, a rose by any other name... still pricks your fingers when you pick it. Like any other kind of art, its value if measured by the one observing it. Personally i think Picasso was a bit slap dash, but that doesn't mean that somebody else doesn't find him positively inspiring. I have no sense of value when it comes to painted artwork, i haven't seen how the painting was constructed; the levels of detail and texture and hours of time and love and patience that must have gone into it... all i see is a colorful canvas hanging in a museum and then 'Meh, i have seen it!' But that is just me. So i can understand that an art connoisseur might think that something cooked up by skilled teams of visionaries and graphic designers is repulsive... But that just means that video games aren't their type of art, not their idea of a good time, and that's fine... I am sure I would walk through the Louvre and wish i had spend my admission ticket on an extra croissant and a cup o'Joe. To each their own, I say!
  8. I like a mixture of the two. I love a good thought provoking story, but if the game play confuses me or if i just can't get into it... i might pass. Sometimes simple is better... I know it's an old game, but when i was a kid i loved the digimon games on the original Play Station. They were so fun... maybe the pretty colors just hypnotized me though... And the pokémon games keep seducing me... even though i have grown out of the franchise... The games still entertain my inner child. But as for me in general, i love a good story. I love the Mass Effect trilogy and Dragon Age, in fact Bioware in general kinda has be by the... heart strings in most games. Shout out to the Fallout/Skyrim games too.
