Far be it for me to Pee in anyone's corn flakes, but the following appeared in Chapter 88. and then squirmed into the bilge. After a few moments, he looked up at Shane and said, “The hull structure is a little different than Atlantis; there’s a thick hull member over the water tank. I can wedge the can up behind it. It’s a tight fit, but if I leave it rag end out, it looks just like a rag holder. I believe I am on firm ground to state, "Trevor is very familiar with the construction of the Lagoon 55 he sailed from Fort Pierce, Florida to Carnarvon, Western Australia." It has been suggested by some posters here in The Forum, including myself prior to July 4th, 2011, The Kookaburra is in fact, the Yacht Ares, reported missing in May 1997. There are some who believe a conversion had been done by Ned Kelly to alter the exterior to camouflage the Ares, to make it appear to be a Lagoon 57.

Question???????????? The new posting settup seems to be OK, mostly. I have not found how to use Spellcheck

THIS POSTING WAS INCORRECT. IT WAS A DUPLICATE OF A POST I MADE EARLIER IN BRAINSTOMING. I REMOVED I FROM THIS THREAD SO NO ONE WOULD BE CONFUSED.

Hi Benji, Right up front let me apologize for answering your first messages without even looking at a map. When I read Chapter 91, I created in my head, where the general locations for Darwin, Broome and the Kimberly Region were in Australia. This was a DUMB move on my part. My thinking went like this. Kline was trying to misdirect the television reporters. They knew Trevor was on a Solo Circumnavigation. I figured the closest point in Australia to the Panama Canal would be somewhere in the State of Queensland. I remembered earlier in the story, Shane telling Trevor he was from Cairns, which is located in Queensland. Shane also told Trevor, “Salties,” were found in that part of the country. One of the statements Kline made was he hoped the TV guys would meet some of the critters. Throughout this story whenever a new location was mentioned, I would look it up, using Google Maps. Hell, when Trevor was touring Carnarvon with Shane and the two of them went to Denham to provision, I went along. I used the street view and saw what they were talking about. I find it makes reading the story a lot more enjoyable. Anyway this time I engaged my mouth (or to be completely accurate my fingers,) without knowing the facts. What I am going to do is. Do some additional map checking. Then I am going to read again your messages. I will then try to match what you are suggesting to the correct locations. Sorry about this goof I will prepare new responses and post them. Marty

Hmmmm…… I don’t know Benji. What you are suggesting is possible. However, Trevor is expecting Joel to arrive around December 23 in Perth. That is located in Southwest Australia. This is the general area Kookaburra is cruising in now. Also, your suggestion is halfway around the continent. I believe, Northeast Australia is the region Kline told the television reporters Trevor was headed toward. Sorry Benji, I do not agree.

Hi Benji, To keep things simple I have removed anything we agreed on. Both my original posts and your responses. I then added any comments; I felt I needed to say, to answer your responses. On Friday, Basingstoke is planning to approach the Yacht Club and will probably talk to the manager. My personal belief is, Basingstoke won’t get much from him. It is better than even money; he will eventually be talking to Ned. With Ned on alert for anyone snooping around, he will be suspicious. Benji, keep this in mind. Ned Kelly is the real weak link in Trevor’s security. Not that he would deliberately give any information away, He knows everything about Trevor. What boat he is on. Where he is going and whom he is with. Hopefully, the Hitman won’t pick up on Ned . Interesting thought about Ned being a victim of Basingstoke, but I doubt that happening, first off it is too close to his cover. The press will be gone by next daybreak, thanks to Kline, and Basingstoke will be left out in the cold with no other cover other then a traveling salesman, that is where I think Kline makes his mistake in a pub, talking to him. I mean a guy snooping for info. finds him with a loose tongue, well soon to be loose. 2ndly, we know that Trevor wants his Atlantis back, so who is going to fix it if Ned is dead? Leave it to you to come up with a practical answer. No Ned, No repairs It is very likely; Basingstoke will be stalled, learning nothing to lead him to Trevor. This Benji, is where half of your WAG, might become prophesy. While the Hitman has been prowling around, it is more than likely; he saw a replay of Kline’s interviews. It is my impression from reading that portion of Chapter 91, Kline bragged about interviewing Trevor and being on his new boat. I will bet he even did his best to emphasize Trevor’s alleged plans and destinations. I am fairly certain, Sanchez already briefed the Hitman about Trevor intending to meet Joel in Perth. Methinks, Basingstoke will wish to learn why there is a conflict in the information. I doubt it would be difficult for the Hitman to locate Kline and have a little chat. If he does, I doubt our reporter will be writing any more stories. Yep, I concur here, which is why I said what I did, Basingstoke will take care of Kline, and George is going to take care of Henry, once he discovers that Henry is on his trail. Here we will have to Agree to Disagree. I do not believe Henry will be taken out by George or anyone else. Kline does not know Trevor’s plans. He does believe he knows that Trevor is aboard the Kookaburra. Kline also knows what the boat looks like, especially the color. How much of a problem do you think it will be for Basingstoke to find a Red Catamaran, if he uses his plane to do a search? Don’t forget, the Kookaburra will be anchored away from Kalbarri, in a lonely hidden area. Don't forget also that Kline also knows he deliberately mislead the other reporters to the north of Cameron. I'm sure Basingstoke can get other information to confirm it is not true. A plane can spot what is hidden, here is one thing I cannot remember, does Sanchez, Bridget or Arnold know that Trevor is not alone (Shane)? Yes Bridget and George do know Trevor is staying on a different boat, with someone named Shane Getting back to Kline. Add one dead reporter, plus one airplane, flown by an assassin and all those hungry, hungry sharks. The goat did mention those 'salties' (salt-water croc's) it would be a great demise for Basingstoke, especially if he did not know Shane was on board. And it would be in his style!! Sorry Benji, Shane told Trevor “Salties,” were not found in the area of Western Australia they are in. I have nothing to back up this opinion, but here goes anyway: Make this a WAG. I think Basingstoke will be taken out by Trevor, possibly using one of those shark boom sticks. Trevor will do this to save Shane’s life. The Hitman goofs and mistakes Shane for Trevor and is going to cut his head off. That is about it. I guess we now sit back and see what the story says about our WAGs. Marty PS there is one thing that keeps me a little up tight. Basingstoke has a lot of security equipment. I am wondering if any of it can be used to evesdrop on conversations or telephone calls in Carnarvon.

Hi Benji, You posted this WAG. Were you serious? Were you just fooling around? I am not attempting to make you look stupid. I am posting this because I believe you may be half right. I seriously believe Kline may not be long for this world. Let me spell out my gut feelings. Kline has told Fowler he will be sticking around Carnarvon for a couple of days. Basingstoke is in town nosing around. The Hitman is looking for Trevor. The Kookaburra with Trev and Shane are already long gone. They are getting ready to stealthily slip into the Murchison River to anchor away from Kalbarri. That is approximately 200 kilometers south of Carnarvon. The two reporters Kline finagled to be interviewed by were taped on Thursday morning. If Australian television news programming is anything like it is here in the states, I believe those interviews will be broadcast again throughout the day. Basingstoke is spending the day wandering around looking, establishing his cover as a security equipment salesman. With the media circus in full swing, I am sure Trevor and his adventures are the talk of the town. The Hitman is planning to narrow his search the following day. He will be searching for anything to lead him to Trevor. Hi Benji, IMHO, I think you were headed in the right direction. Now, well I don't think so. I am looking forward to see if anyone else is going to take a crack at my little puzzle. Marty PS I think you meant Henry, not Frank.
-
Thank you Jan. But please don't tell the Goat that.

Hi Benji, That is not the answer I believe to be the correct one. I would suggest you look carefully through the July 4th Summery I posted. The answer I believe to be correct is covered in there. To tell you the truth I have been waiting for Lisa to find it. But, she seems to have stopped digging through the records. Henry must know the reason. He was present when Dirk told everything to Frank Tittle in Chapter 54. That is why he tried to control the search. Marty
-
Tid-bit The above quoted statement was made by Henry, during the Chapter 91 conference with Sergeant Gonzalez, in the Chandlery. The question I have for anyone is, “Why did Henry volunteer to check the official records of boat sales?”
-
I refuse to reply directly to that Balderdash posted by the Goat. I stopped believing in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy, long before I had my First Erection. I would be more likely to revert to those childhood fantasies than believe what the "Goat" posted. Any fantasies after that point in time are private and XXX rated.

Copy Copy Copy This is a copy of my post in the Chapter 91 Thread Hi Benji, There appears to be a problem. This post of yours refers to you replying in Brainstorming. I do not see any post by you, in Brainstorming, that was posted today. There is one from you posted yesterday, which has nothing to do with my post in the Chapter 91 thread. Maybe another glitch? Marty

Hi wildone Maybe I should have made it clearer. The only reference to the existence of Bridget's brother, was made by Bridget to Lisa. At least that is all I recall. My WAG is meant that George Alfred, (got it right that time, by golly)is living two lives. One as Detective Alfred and a second as Bridget's Brother. That is my WAG anyway. Marty

Sometimes I wonder……… We are reaching the point that CHJ, has to let slip some clues. I have been waiting for any comments regarding one disclosure that appeared in Chapter 91. Alas I have waited in vain. It should be well known that I believe Rachel and Dirk joined in a Criminal Conspiracy to allow Rachel to disappear by apparently having the Ares sink. Because of the fact that Dirk was involved in this and another Criminal Conspiracy, he is unable to discuss any matters involved in either conspiracy, until the Statutes of Limitations expire on all crimes committed while carrying out either of them. Except….. Dirk could discuss them with his attorney. He used this exception to tell Jim Armstrong. Also in Chapter 54 There is a meeting held. Present was Frank Tittle who is Dirk’s attorney handling the Murder and Attempted Murder charges filed against him. Frank is also representing Jim Armstrong who has also been indicted for the Attempted Murder charge. Most important to this posting is the fact that Henry Wesson, a Private Investigator, hired by Frank was present. He heard everything Dirk told Frank Tittle about he disappearance of the Ares. The majority of what was disclosed by Dirk did not appear. This was necessary to keep secret the basic mystery outlined in the Prologue. Keeping that in mind let me point out an interesting statement made by Henry to Sergeant Gonzalez in Chapter 91. The only reason that Henry Wesson, could make that statement to Sergeant Gonzalez, and not lie, is because he KNOWS the Ares didn’t sink and Rachel didn’t die. There are other statements by Henry I am not going to bring to your attention. If you want to do some armchair detecting, look up and print my posting of July 4th and look it over. Who knows, it might help you. From time to time I may point out other tid-bits.

Whoa!!!! Stop the horses!!!! Let me challenge the first misconception. This was a WAG. Not part of any Brainstorming agreement. I am solely responsible for this. I would appreciate it if someone, anyone, would COPY AND PASTE where I stated, or even implied that, George Arnold was Bridget Bellevue's brother. I stand corrected on my use of George's Last Name. Please substitute George Alfred wherever I used George Arnold, in any posts referring to my WAG Thank you, Marty
-
Hi Daddydavek First I would like to address this portion of your post. My response to that is easy. George is and has been shacking up with that witch for a long time. IMHO, being referred to as her brother is small potatoes, compared to that. Just my thoughts. Now, why did I stick my neck out and post this speculation? I didn’t stick my neck out, IMHO.! All predictions posted by Benji and myself, primarily in the Brain Storming thread, are the result of our collaborations. We did our best to follow the basic concept of Brainstorming. Never criticize the beliefs of another participant. Never attempt to change their mind. Use the ideas of others to develop or modify your conclusions. Agree to disagree. Our July 4th Summery was posted approximately 14 hours before Chapter 82 was published. It went far beyond the events, which took place during the latter part of May 1997. We attempted to address a period of time starting well before the May 1997 scenario. We extended our, “Post Disappearance,” considerations to include our predictions as to what actually took place, after Rachel sailed from Nassau on May 27th, 1997. The basic core of our deductions is simple. The Ares did not sink. Rachel did not die. The Ares and Atlantis were swapped. IMHO, I believe the majority of the people who are reading Circumnavigation agree with us on that. I would be very surprised, NO, make that shocked, if every deduction reached And posted by Benji and myself, matched point by point, with the final revelations. It is impossible for that to occur. The two of us do not agree on every point. The reasons I posted, The WAG, regarding the possibility of George Arnold having an alternate identity as Bridget’s brother are found both in the storyline and in real life. The CJ has posted in The Forum; he did not expect the story to exceed one hundred chapters. I will be very surprised if that prediction survives him posting the final chapter. If it does, my prediction is; there will be some humongous chapters posted. First you have to consider the number of sentences and paragraphs required, to explain everything, which has been concealed, so far in the storyline. Next, there is quite a bit of ongoing activity, which must be resolved. The Hitman and his quest to fulfill his contract. Dirk and Jim’s hiding out and the scheduled interview with Sergeant Gonzalez. Then factor in whatever happens when the Sergeant learns what really happened. The game of Hide and Go Seek involving the cast located in Australia. The escapades of Joel and Lisa, both traveling and possibly transporting drugs. There are lots and lots of activities to relate to us. Why did I post my guess? It is simple, maybe. All of a sudden an individual, who so far in the storyline, has only been referred to briefly, is probably becoming an important character. We know very little about him. In Chapter 91 Sergeant Gonzalez admits to, not even knowing is name. Think about what we know about George Arnold. We know he is actively engaged in smuggling narcotics. He is no doubt receiving large amounts of money to do so. Sergeant Gonzalez has determined, there is no suspicious financial records available to warrant an investigation. My gut feeling is, the CJ is not likely to introduce a new major player this late into the story. Besides, Bridget and George have some nasty habits and have made plans to create all kind of problems for three of the Good Guys. The two of them need to be dealt with expeditiously and totally eliminated from the storyline. One simple way would be for the Sergeant to find out, George was living two lives. With almost no information available to make a deduction, and knowing CJ has to resolve the problem created by the nefarious activities of the Dastardly Duo, I figured I would create the WAG and learn how good a Guesser I am.
-
Hi wildone, To the best of my recollection; knowledge, understanding and belief, I have not, in this Forum, done, what I am about to do. I am going to post a WAG. (Wild Ass Guess) My WAG is: George, Bridget's Paramour, is also referred to, at times, as Bridget's Brother.
-
Well CJ, you certainly present a well constucted defense of your beliefs. I guess that is why so few members of a well known organization, were convicted in certain areas of our country, for the lynching, or worse, of members of a minority residing in those locations. Any prospective member of a jury can easily inform the court, they could or could not render a fair verdict. Just the thoughts that entered my mind while reading your posts. Marty
-
Hi Benji and CHJ Back in the profile, there is a mention that the Carlson's were doing well financially. Is it not probable, a successful business, owned the property they were doing business out of. Just my thoughts, Marty
-
Hi Benji, You are 100% correct. It is a great chapter and I agree completely with your cliffhanger observation Marty
-
Benji, Evidently not. I repeat my suggestions to read those links and do some reading from the Googel Search Strings. Also read ALL the postings in that forum I posted a link to. Marty

Hi Benji, You seem to be overlooking something. From what I read in those rules in effect in 2007, (Trevor arrived in Australia in late November 2006) Trevor had to give previous notice of arrival. If you read more of the entries, the minimum time is 96 hours notice. The maximum time is not listed. If you do read more of the postings, the maximum time is discussed. I believe Trevor should have notified the Australian Customs Office before leaving Europe. That is how it apparently was done, back in 2006. I have been doing some additional reading on what was taking place at that time. Googel this (Australia arriving by private yacht) and this (entering Australia by boat with firearm). Read some of the Horror Stories some yachters became enmeshed in. Go to these two sites http://www.thecoastalpassage.com/manzaris.html http://www.thecoastalpassage.com/decision.html These are dated as occurring back in 2008 Marty
