  1. Well now, CHJ This is interesting: I read what you are saying. You can be sure whatever happens between now and the completion of the story will be evaluated. I am not the only reader who considered it to be a Cliffhanger. Remember 156.
  2. Hi CJ I appreciate your answering me. However, it did not work. I even restarted my computer. I also went to my other computer and tried there. Have you tried to upload since the site was updated? Also Insert quotes still does not work. Marty
  3. Hi Benji, I think you are almost correct. The mast is showing because it is so tall. However, I believe the hull of the boat is concealed behind Stork Island. Marty
  4. Anybody Please Help I have uploaded pictures to my gallery several times. I am no longer able to do so. I get to Step 2. Then I browse and locate the picture I want to Upload. It is at this point I am unable to continue. There are no buttons to click to complete the uploading. I have hit the enter Key on my keyboard. I have searched the page and can find nothing to click to complete the upload.
  5. Hi Benji. Chapter 95 gives us all the best proof of The Goat and "Cliffhangers. Here is a chapter that does little if anything to advance the storyline. In reality all it does is move us approximately 36 hours forward in time. I guess CHJ carved out just enough to give himself a chapter to post. Now think about it. He is ready to post. He connects to the GA Site. He does a final check for errors. OMG. HORRORS!!!! The Goat realizes there isn't a Cliffhanger in it. He has to do something. What to do?..... A Hah!!!!!! He adds two lousy words. "blissfully unawares." He has redeemed himself. His reputation is safe. The goat has created a "Generic Universal Cliffhanger." Marty BTW He also stuck in goats on Martin's farm.
  6. An excellent question.
  7. I am certainly glad you are here, Zombie. You sound like a true believer and the world needs more folks like you. However, you need to understand there are individuals like the Goat. When one of these, less than nice people, decide to publish a manuscript they found, there is nothing they won't do to mess with readers heads, I sincerely hope you do not think the Goat could have written as fine a story as has been posted. I personally think when CHJ found Shane's story about Trevor's Trials and Tribulations it was incomplete. The Goat's only contribution is the insertion of,CLIFFHANGERS.
  8. I would like to address this to all readers. It is not limited to those who post the in the Forum. This post of The Goat is, in my considered opinion, CHJ’s latest attempt to create a foundation to support his effort, to cover-up his mistakes. A while back on May 24th, 2011, CHJ posted the following in a multi-subject post: It appeared in the Thread, “Comments.” This was the same week Chapter 77 was published..” There had been some comments appearing in The Forum regarding how many total chapters the story would reach before the end. You can see in the quote, his statement is short and simple, I would suggest you go and read his additional posts in the thread, He is very emphatic how he is sure of the total number. Now The Goat is attempting to shift the responsibility for his own screw-up. He has already proved beyond a reasonable doubt he cannot spell or count. He creates eight day weeks and doesn’t know east from west. Now he is starting his campaign to place the blame for the majority of his errors on Australia and her residents. I do not reside there. However, if I did, I would not allow him to get away with these slanderous statements about the country I live in The Goat is following a basic premise. He is once again trotting out and applying the principal of, “The Big Lie.” The working theory underlying, “The Big Lie” is a simple one. All a person needs to do is: Tell a lie so so "colossal" that no one would believe that someone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously." This is what The Goat was been doing without success so far regarding, “Cliffhangers.” So for the next few weeks I expect to see, The Goat, try to blame Australia every time he goofs.
  9. Hi Benji, I am starting a new message because the previous one is getting to long. Let me step back and try to simplify things. TREVOR’S ATLANTIS BEING THE TARGET NOT HIM. We, the armchair detectives know that is not a fact. Unfortunately the two police officers (Sergeant Gonzalez and Officer Fowler) have gotten off on a wrong track. From their point of view it is a very probable possibility. One action, which occurred, has reinforced this mistaken deduction. Basingstoke used the fire he created as a distraction, The Hitman only wanted to get away. Regrettably his using fire is leading Fowler in the wrong direction. Let us examine what we know as for sure. We know there were hidden compartments installed in the Ares by Arnold and Bridget. These were put in when the two of them were operating the Ares. This was before Arnold sold her to Dirk and Rachel without his wife’s knowledge. Bridget went aboard the Ares with Arnold, after he had sold the boat, but before he had delivered the catamaran to the Carlson’s. She was suspicious about Arnold’s recent actions. While she was aboard, she checked at least one of the hiding places. Hidden inside was the paperwork relating to the sale. Bridget got Pissed Off and did some more snooping. She searched Arnold’s office one night. She found divorce papers already drawn up. She also found documents, which convinced her he was selling property they jointly owned, without her knowledge or permission. She decided to kill him and did. After he was dead she found receipts for materials that could be used to construct concealed compartments aboard the Ares. Bridget was afraid Arnold had created a list of the properties they owned, bought with the income from her drug smuggling. She was worried this paperwork was concealed aboard the Ares; in these hidden spaces she believed he created. Bridget was unable to locate any newly constructed concealed compartments prior to turning over the Ares to Rachel. Bridget told most of this to Sanchez. She wanted him to arrange for Trevor’s death. She did not tell him about her fears concerning Arnold’s documenting her drug smuggling activities. In reality, Bridget does not know for sure, Arnold created any lists, or wrote anything about her illegal activities. She also does not know, if he did in fact; build any concealed compartments aboard the Ares. All she has is suspicion. Rachel knew Bridget wanted to regain control of the Ares. You believed Rachel had discovered one or more of the hidden compartments Arnold built into the Ares. You convinced me of that. One thing we know for sure. Arnold did not know Bridget was going to kill him. He may have hidden the documents Bridget fears being discovered. Whatever else he may have secreted can only be speculated on. We do know the Ares disappeared as a result of a Criminal Conspiracy planned for and enacted by Dirk and Rachel. I believe the Ares and Atlantis were switched as part of this conspiracy. Some readers believe the Ares was sailed to Australia and became the Kookaburra. If I am correct, and I believe I am, The Lagoon 55 that is sitting in Ned’s boatyard, used to be known as the Ares. If she is the Ares there must be hidden compartments built into her. I also believe Rachel would have removed any items concealed in them before she disappeared in the latter part of May 1997. BTW: I just had an interesting thought cross my mind. The United States Government and the State of Florida may have some difficulty successfully prosecuting Rachel for the Criminal Conspiracy created when she and Dirk planned and carried out the Disappearance. Seeing as there is very little information, appearing in the story, as to what crimes were actually committed, to support either of the two Criminal Conspiracies, it is difficult to speculate what charges can be brought against Rachel. You may not like what I am going to say, but to tell you the truth I don’t give a damn. If the Goat, manipulates the remainder of this novel, in such a way that Rachel walks away with no punishment, I will be very disappointed. The only innocent Carlson is Trevor. He is more than innocent. He has almost been killed twice, because of something Rachel started almost twenty years ago. Marty
  10. Hi Benji, Whoa, Ned has the gall to call Shane a thief?? I think the following quote pretty much says it all: "Some men will rob you with a six gun and some with a fountain pen." ~Woody Guthrie Ned does not consider what he is doing stealing, to him; it is just sharp business practice. Also, He (Ned) is not taking money from an individual, but from a company or governmental agency. Let's hope his sonar picks up a hidden compartment and Bridget's little game begins to crumble. This part of your post confuses me. Ned will be using a device to examine the interior structural construction of Trevor’s Atlantis. This vessel is stored in his boatyard. Should Ned find concealed compartments built into this catamaran, only two possibilities come immediately to my mind. The first is: Someone constructed hidden locations in the vessel. That is certainly possible. Rachel could have constructed the concealed locations. Once she had taken possession of the Lagoon 55 she purchased from Bridget, for cash, she might very well have done so. So that is a possibility, which needs to be kept in mind. It is also possible a previous owner could have constructed them. However the second possibility is more likely probable IMHO. For the sake of discussion let me say: Ned does discover hidden compartments in the Lagoon 55 stored in his boatyard. We know for a fact, Trevor built one into the decking in the crew’s compartment shower. Greg Fowler has already discovered this location and the secreted .357 revolver it contained. However if additional hidden spaces are located, therein lies a conundrum. Who built them and for what purpose. I doubt Trevor is aware of their existence. If he did know about them, why would it have been necessary for him to construct his hide-away in the crew’s cabin? I believe it more likely they were jnstalled prior to Trevor taking physical possession and command of his Atlantis. Benji, I think I will stick with the scenario appearing in the July 4th prophecy. If Ned locates hidden compartments in Trevor’s Atlantis, it is because the two Lagoon 55s were switched during the implementation of The Disappearance in late May 1997. I have been under the impression you believed the Ares had been sailed to Australia and converted into the Kookaburra. That is how I see it. Marty
  11. Errr CJ, An excellent chapter, keeping more than one sub-plot moving along nicely. However, you are confusing me. The following are from Chapter 94 1 - Kaminski led them out the door and pointed northeast on Grey Street. “That way, about a kilometer, is an IGA supermarket, right across from the riverfront. There’s nowhere to moor a 2 - Trevor and Shane began walking west on Grey Street, only to come to a halt within fifty feet. “Look, a little shopping center, and they’ve even got a surf shop,” Trevor said, angling in that direction. 3 - “It’s a walkabout, then,” Shane said, as they backtracked a hundred yards down Grey Street and headed inland on Porter Street. In example # 1, you have the constable pointing northeast as the direction they will need to travel, to reach the IGA and the Visitor’s Center. In example # 2 they begin walking west. IMHO, They are setting out on a very difficult and probably impossible circumnavigation. My best guesstamation is, they will be swimming in a westward direction, in the Indian Ocean in less than two miles or so. In example # 3, they would be doing this only if; they followed the constable’s original instructions. Did they bring the portable GPS with them, when they secured the zodiac?
  12. After a thorough reading of Chapter 94,. i definately agree with your evaluation. The only question remaining is, "Why is The Goat, all of a sudden, telling the truth?" Who knows what evil lurks in the mind of CHJ.
  13. Would you like to give everybody else a hint? or Maybe a Sneak Preview?
  14. Hi Benji, I have only one item to bring to your attention. I agree both have wronged Trevor. We definitely disagree regarding Rachel. I am interested in one thing. I am not; repeat NOT, challenging your right to disagree with me. Since the beginning of this story, Dirk has refused to discuss any of the circumstances about the Disappearance, except with an attorney. In Chapter 54, Frank Tittle agrees with Dirk’s decision. Now if Dirk had to remain in Florida to be eligible for the Statute of Limitations to expire on all crimes he committed, why didn’t Rachel? Benji, you do not need to answer my question here in the Forum. All I would like you to do is think about it. Marty
  15. Hi Benji, I just love the rigmarole you are partially responsible for creating. The readers posting in the Forum are mimicking the law enforcement authorities in the storyline. The readers are dashing to and fro as the plot enters its finishing phase. Me? I am going to stick with the July 4th posting. In the plot, Bridget knows Arnold was storing some paperwork aboard the Ares. She knows for sure the documents concerning the sale of the Ares were stored in a concealed compartment, prior to her murdering Arnold. She most likely would have had to remove this paperwork after she murdered him. Realistically she would have needed the papers to finalize the sale of Ares to Rachel and Dirk. At some point in time after she sent Arnold to his, in her opinion, just rewards, Bridget discovered receipts for the purchase of material that could have been used to construct hidden locations. She was unable to locate these compartments herself. She employed a burglar to search. There were no hidden spaces found by him Bridget believed Arnold had created a list of assets belong to them, which were purchased with the income acquired by her illegal drug smuggling operations. In addition she believed he had documented her illegal drug dealings. In her explanation to Sanchez as to why she wanted Trevor killed, Bridget told him about her fears the list of assets would be found, if Trevor located the sunken hulk of the Ares. The witch did not mention her fears about a possible written history of her drug deals to the drug lord. Now along comes Benji. (That’s you BTW.) Your deductions were; Rachel had discovered the hidden documents. (You certainly convinced me she did.) Rachel decided to disappear. She persuaded Dirk to assist her to do so. The plot was fabricated and the Disappearance became a fact. We both agree, after the events of the latter part of May 1997 were history; Rachel made her way to, The Land of Oz. I believe and I think you concur; when Rachel arrived in Australia, she had all of the documentation she discovered in her possession. It does not make any sense to me why should have left them behind. We do not see eye to eye on many of the methods used by Rachel and Dirk to accomplish the Disappearance. It certainly was successfully carried out. Nothing appearing so far in the storyline indicates any law enforcement agency has any official doubt, the Ares sunk and Rachel died as the result. That is about to change. Once Dirk has completed waiting for the expiration of all Statutes of Limitation for any crimes he may have committed, he has agreed to be interviewed by Sergeant Gonzalez. During that conference the officer will no doubt learn about everything, which led up to the events taking place almost a decade ago. Keep in mind one important fact. Dirk can only tell Sergeant Gonzalez what he did and knows. He cannot tell the Sergeant what Rachel may have done without his knowledge. Dirk can tell the officer anything Rachel told him, but would be unable to tell him anything Rachel did not inform him about. Some of the offenses Dirk will be confessing to go back well before the Criminal Conspiracy created to implement the Disappearance. My gut reaction is, Dirk will not be released from custody once he turns himself in. He has already demonstrated his willingness and ability to flee and conceal himself for extended periods of time. The authorities will want to hold on to him until the investigation has been completed. The Criminal Conspiracy, whose Statute of Limitations expires on December 16th, 2006, took place prior to the one involving the Disappearance. Dirk’s last action, in support of this conspiracy, was done approximately five months before the Disappearance. Dirk will be admitting to committing many offenses to further these conspiracies. He will no doubt be involving other persons. Rachel certainly was his co-conspirator in the Criminal Conspiracy created to allow her to disappear. There is no doubt in my mind she was involved in the Criminal Conspiracy whose Statute of Limitations expires on December 16th, 2006. Once the authorities learn what Dirk can now freely disclose, there should be no question in your mind they will initiate an investigation. Sergeant Gonzalez presently heads up a task force already assembled. It consists of both Federal and State of Florida law enforcement personnel. All the information given them by Dirk will have to be verified. Rachel will become a Person of Interest for this investigation. I know we disagree as to her liability for the criminal actions she undertook in arranging the Disappearance and any responsibility for her actions in the other Criminal Conspiracy Dirk is waiting the expiration of. We know she was under investigation, because of Bridget informing some agency of her criminal activities, prior to the Disappearance. I am well aware that more than one reader believes Rachel will be free and clear at the same time Dirk is. My position on that is simple. I will wait until that occurs in the storyline. If I am incorrect in my posted opinion of what awaits Rachel, I will admit my error. Rachel may or may not have information concerning the smuggling of drugs almost twenty years ago. It all depends on whether or not Arnold did what Bridget fears he did. At present, the situation is interesting. Senior personnel in law enforcement in Australia have authorized officers to maintain covert surveillance on the Lagoon 55 stored in Ned’s Boatyard. There are officers from more than one agency earning over-time pay. While I agree Trevor’s safety is a concern to them, I am getting a sneaky suspicion there are other criteria being taken into consideration. I believe somehow, someone has started to put together an overall picture of the conspiracy necessary to permit two widespread attempts to murder Trevor and/or destroy Lagoon 55. It would not surprise me to read, Rachel has surfaced to at least Australian authorities. Part of this is based on my opinion of Greg Fowler. I do not believe Greg would agree to cover-up for anyone involved in a Criminal Conspiracy, as we know was committed by Dirk and Rachel. Based on Greg’s original reaction to Trevor when he discovered him in Shark Bay, I do not believe he knew anything about the Disappearance or anything that occurred those many years ago, half a world away. That is how I see it, Benji. Marty
  16. I don't have a comment, but i am wondering about one thing. As a matter of fact this has been in the back of my mind for some time. I may have even mentioned it in one of my posts. The Kookaburra is a vessel that is available for charter. There are no doubt other boats also available in that area. It is a business. Trevor's Atlantis is also a charter yacht. He advertises on the Internet He also has or had printed material aboard regarding contact information. The people who were members of his Greek Charter took some of the available cards or maybe brochures when leaving. Basingstoke found printed material which showed pictures of the Kookaburra. I can understand why it would not be advisable to show a picture of Trevor. He is a little on the young side. However, a photograph of a mature couple operating a charter business would be a plus, I would think. Unless of course, one of them has something to hide.
  17. Err CJ, First line of this paragraph, you named Rachel. Didn't you mean Bridget?
  18. Hi Benji, This is a copy/paste of my post, your responses and then my remarks. Anything I did not make a remark about, I removed from this post. “Open mouth, insert hooves, not one, but all four hooves and immediately start to run. Might be a no brainier as I have a recipe for a leg of goat! I didn't write everthing in my comment originally. What is here now is what it should have said . One regret I have at this point in the storyline. It appears to me, Basingstoke was arrived at a conclusion regarding Trevor’s current means of travel and concealment. I really was hoping he would invite Kline to a lengthy session of Show and Tell. Yeah, that seems to be the case here, Mr. B has no need of Kline as he has enough info at this point, however if he takes off north in search of Trevor and finds nothing, he has plenty reason to 'talk' to Kline. I don't think he will head North at all. Basingstoke knows about the meeting with Joel at the Perth airport on December 23rd. I read the description of Basingstoke’s stealthy reconnaissance and exploration of Trevor’s Atlantis with bated breath. The use of high-tech devices by both the Good and Bad guys was an excellent example of 21st Century law enforcement operations. However, it was a device, whose roots go back Millennia that got the job done. I remember when I was in the Marines that we were introduced to something called 'starlight' It was pitch black outside at night yet we could make out walking around a few hundred yards away, they were green in the vision goggles, but you could make them out as people moving about Benji, back when I was on active duty, all we had was a, Mark 1 Eyeball. I do not know if this will come to pass or not. I am wondering what Sanchez would think if he learned about, the extraordinary protection being enacted by law enforcement authorities to save from harm, an apparent empty, gutted vessel. Here I think, I can make a prediction that Sanchez's fail at th last attempt on Trevor and his own cartel takes him out, then they look inward at Bridget and George, I think the contract is disolved then. That woud be nice. However, I don't think The Goat wiill let us off that easy. Officer Fowler’s final instructions to Ned, concerning a close examination of the Lagoon 55, are perplexing. It is obvious to me anyway; Greg has received information from someone regarding previous events. I am wondering if he was not told everything. Nope, I think we were both on there about being more information on the Atlantis or the Aries, left by Arnold, could be they did not dig deep enough. Could this be Sanchez's demise? Along with Bridget's and Georges's? Could be Oh well, looks like it will reach a 'head' soon, Hahaha! I think Mr. B. will carry out the contract even if his employer is dead. The cartel will not care as the details come out, and not try to forfill it, leaving Trevor safe after all this time. Sorry Benji, I totally disagree. If SAnchez is out of the picture, for any reason, Mr. B.will walk away. Marty
  19. Hi Benji, Welcome to Day One of the seven day hiatus marking the interval between Chapters 93 and 94. It feels to me the gaps separating chapters are stretching, as we come close to the finale. I think Chapter 93 is one of the better ones appearing so far. The brief nostalgic trip taken by the Antarctic Star’s Captain was interesting and informative. It is sidebars like that, inserted into the storyline, which are almost a hallmark throughout this story. That little trip down memory lane tells me one thing for sure. The bell has begun knolling. It does so to mark the passing of CJs prediction, regarding the total number of chapters not exceeding the century mark. I am looking forward to reading, what cockamamie explanation he will come up, to distance himself from having predicted it. Just like CHJ, “Open mouth insert not one, but all four hooves and immediately start to run. Chapter 93 addressed three of the Australian sub-plots included in the storyline. I was slightly disappointed the Captain had yet to learn, how Barney had screwed over him regarding the garlic crusher. The interplay between the two reporters is exactly what I have learned to expect from members of the Fourth Estate. If you take two reporters, stuff them in a barrel, seal down the top, then send it rolling down a hill, there will be an S.O.B. on top throughout the trip. They are not happy enough screwing over the public, One regret I have at this point in the storyline. It appears to me, Basingstoke was arrived at a conclusion regarding Trevor’s current means of travel and concealment. I really was hoping he would invite Kline to a lengthy session of Show and Tell. I do not know if this will come to pass or not. I am wondering what Sanchez would think if he learned about, the extraordinary protection being enacted by law enforcement authorities to save from harm, an apparent empty, gutted vessel. If Trevor learns of any probable threat to his Atlantis, I doubt if even Shane could get him to stay away from her. Officer Fowler’s final instructions to Ned, concerning a close examination of the Lagoon 55, are perplexing. It is obvious to me anyway; Greg has received information from someone regarding previous events. I am wondering if he was not told everything. Oh well, we will eventually learn what is going on. Marty
  20. I cannot say for sure and in all honesty, I am too lazy to spend the time doing the research to refute your statements' use of the word "often." Based on my recollection of previous posts, I think i can say with some degree of certainty, the number of readers defending your claim of never using Cliffhangers is vastly unnumbered by those readers, who rightfully proclaim you are the, King of Cliffhangers. Using this maxim to guide me in responding to your post, "If such observations were indeed posted in this Forum, you were most likely the one to have done so."
  21. I am having a problem with, Quotes," in using this new system. It used to be I could paste something, highlight it, click the Quote button on the Tool-bar and the highlighted text would appear as a boxed unattributed quote in the posting. Now if I do it, the darn thing disappears. Any assistance, advice or suggestions would be appreciated Thanking you in advance. Marty
  22. Hi Benji, We both know The Goat has posted all kinds of hints to lead us to draw the conclusion there is a sexual relationship. But that is all they are, hints. I classify what has appeared as being in one of two categories. Either they are hints or red herrings. The Goat does nothing without a long term reason.. It was suggested a while back by someone, the reason for the planned divorce was Rachel had learned Dirk was either Gay or Bi. This is a great example of The Goat’s manipulating the readers. I have my opinion as to why divorce proceedings were initiated by Rachel and Dirk. I believe you also have reached a point in your deductions as to why. Unless I have failed to discover and remember something appearing in the storyline, the reason for the divorce papers being filed in a court is important to solving the events surrounding the Disappearance. I do not intend to believe there is a sexual relationship between the two of them until, what you posted occurs. BTW I do not know what the final outcome will be regarding the activities of Basingstoke, Sanchez, Bridget and George concerning the future of Trevor. Any event occurring in the storyline, which eliminates any of the four Bad Guys, better have a death certificate filed to substantiate their death. Said official document will have to be issued by a coroner, after he has preformed an autopsy on the individual’s body. I all to well recall the alleged death of Scar in LTMP. Well Benji, it won’t be too long before Chapter 93 is posted. Marty
  23. To tell the truth, I do not know. IMHO, The Goat appears to be inferring there is one. Because CHJ is doing so, and not trusting him period, I posted this question. This might be the only mystery which survives the Grand Disclosure schedued for the December 17th Conference Call.
  24. And Now The Question Of the Hour Day Week Fortnight Month Quarter or Year What, if any, Sexual Relationship exists between Dirk Carlson and Jim Ainsworth?
