Dig, thanks for the nice comments. Please do recommend it. I've been doing my darndest to keep balance in the story because after all, life is crazy, but there's the good and the bad and everything in between.

Knots 4 Chapter 35 Thomas and Colt Thomas saw the look on Colt’s face when Zoe’s cover-up landed on top of his clothes. Thomas kicked him in the calf. “What?” Colt said. Thomas didn’t respond. Megan wore a black two-piece which exposed her bellybutton and nicely shaped hips. The bikini top was modest with a pastel pink and blue design that went up to the neck, where it connected with a strap that looped around the back of the neck. Zoe’

Knots 4 Chapter 34 Matt I called Megan on Friday night after putting it off ten times. Where my confidence went I don’t know. I dialed, and it seemed like the phone rang forever before she answered. “Hello.” “Hello, Megan. This is Matt Spence.” “Well, what a surprise. You’re the last person I expected to hear from.” “I’m full of surprises.” “No argument there. What do you want?” “Do I have to want something to c

Zarek I don't know what got into me, but after having Ollie sing "the sun will come out tomorrow," I decided to go and check quotes, and since I always use quotes at the end, thought it would be a good way to go. Maybe a little over the top. But I was thinking of what Emily said when I took the quote about "It's what's between your ears that counts." She was criticizing the guys for only worrying about what's between their legs. Thanks for the advice. You are right, we can't please all the people all of the time. I tend to go in spurts in my reading. For a while I was doing a lot of reading at gayauthors, but am now reading books on Kindle, some mainstream and some gay themed because I think as a writer it's a good idea to read a lot of different things. I feel bad that I'm not reading your stories. I will eventually, just like I plan to do with Columbus Guy. I need some time. I'm supposed to be retired, but find myself working by editing other people's essays. It makes writing hard at times. But thanks to people like you I'm encouraged.

Columbus Guy It was a bit short. I struggled with this chapter and have been very busy, but figure something is better than nothing. I don't plan cliff hangers ahead of time. Sometimes, I've gotten to a certain point and written for so long, that I just need to end the chapter. Because for instance with the sex between Andy and Matt at the pond, I didn't want to write that scene at the time the chapter was coming to a close because I knew it would take some time to write and I wasn't ready to do it then. So you ended up with a cliffhanger. You will find out if Matt and Andy are together at the end. But they have to finish their senior year, and once done, I will bring you up to date

Jaro You bring up a lot of possibilities. Getting a girl pregnant would really be a big knot. Hopefully, he's smarter than that. Colt might be seduced by Zoe. Who knows for sure. I get a kick out of you saying there are a lt of knots to be tied.
-
Zarek Thomas has warned Colt. Told him about his own experience, but sometimes we have to experience things to understand. Colt may do something stupid and then realize it's too late. Andy might jump in and take Thomas if they broke up. who knows?

Jaro Interesting comments. You are right when you say Andy is more insecure and of course he feel good when he's in a relationship, but if he was in one for any length of time, one has to wonder what he might do. Sometimes when we get wha we want, then we don't want it anymore or we take it for granted. This is a possible story line between them now that I think of it. I'll have to give this some thought. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Knots 4 Chapter 33 Andy Suddenly, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I loved it when Dillon and I were together, and I thought he was my boyfriend and loved me. Matt loved me, but it wasn’t the same. I wasn’t sure what was in me at the time that made me so needy. That’s the only word that comes to mind when I think back to that time. What Matt and I had was great. We just as well have been boyfriends, but we weren’t. At the time, I didn’t understand why it was so importa

Zarek You are very insightful. They are more like brothers than boyfriends. Matt might seem selfish, and I believe I made him seem a bit that way, but like he and Andy both agree, they are mutually consenting teenagers. I think that Andy never expects to be hurt by Matt, but Matt isn't quite sure abut Andy and maybe that's why he's afraid of commitment.
-
Columbus Guy Thanks for the comments and review. You may actually be helping me write future chapters. You bring up some good points, including the one about Matt. I guess we'll both have to wait and see what happens.

Knots 4 Chapter 32 Andy Matt came by after he followed Thomas and Colt to Sam’s Pizza. I was pissed he didn’t call me on his cell and tell me to get my ass over there. My parents weren’t home, and we reclined on the chaise lounges on the patio in our backyard. “Everybody wanted to know where you were. They act like we’re boyfriends,” Matt grumbled. “Yeah, what’s the idea of leaving your boyfriend behind?” “That’s just it. You’re not

Thanks Zarek. He has been through a lot. But he's growing little by little.

Zarek Thanks for your note. I've been reading Another Chance and like it too.

Knots 4 Chapter 31 Matt These two nice looking girls, Megan and Zoe, came by our lunch table and kept flirting with Thomas and Colt. I was a little jealous. My eyes knew beauty when they saw it, and these two girls were beautiful. They were only sophomores, but I’d seen them around campus because they hung with the cool crowd and were popular and rich. I didn’t say much, but the whole time I was thinking, I’d like to take one of them out. Hell, I thought I migh

Jaro, I loved your comment that "I was in the closet and couldn't find the door." One thing that bothers me quite a bit in gay-themed movies is that gay guys act all turned off when some girl shows interest in them. I'm not sure, but that doesn't seem completely normal. Everyone likes to be flattered. Just because a guy is into guys, why shouldn't he still be flattered when a girl pursues him. I just watched a movie where this young high school guy is out with a girl who really has the hots for him and he treats her like crap. Then, of course, she accused him of being gay, which, of course, was true, but all he'd have had to do was make-out a little and act interested and say he was saving himself for marriage or something like that if he didn't want to have sex with her. Like you, I was a bit mad at the author. But in this case I felt it was unrealistic because it isn't like girls have cooties and he couldn't have faked some interest in her since he didn't want anyone to know he was gay. It wouldn't have been different if he didn't care, but he did. I think you might be on the right track by the way.
-
Columbus Guy, I guess I watch too many movies and television. Guys are always considered the sexual aggressors, but girls can be too and I thought it would a great twist to have these two girls try to ungay Thomas and Colt. I'm not sure if you've ever heard girls or women say, "Damn, why all the gay guys so cute and unvailable?" But it was that thought that was in my mind when I thought of two girls in the stands lusting after them. And of course, I'd spent part of a chapter talking about lust, so why not have girls do some lusting was my thinking. So who knows what may happen. Will one of the girls get a date or will they both get dates? Only the author knows!

Jaro, if a character does the wrong thing all the time, he's not a very real character. All of us have good in us. And like you said, despite Andy's screw ups, he's a lovable character and it just seemed time for him to do the right thing. I appreciate your comment about what I wrote to lacedaemon. I went back and read it and am glad I did write so much. I figure that anyone who takes the time to write comments, deserves some explanation. Mine are a little shorter with you, but that's because you sit down and write a lot and I go through and answer every one. You make me actually feel like a writer. Thanks.
-
I smiled when I read this comment: "...you could have gotten him out of this, Mr Author. I'm pissed with you too for this. How will you resolve this one! Damn! Well, I know you've read on so you know how I got him out of it. I thought it was time Andy did something right for a change even though it killed him to do it. But I had to build the scene up, and of course, leave the reader hanging so they have to come back for more. I react the same way when I read stories or watch movies and the characters do the damdest things. Dr. Walker had talked to him about the storm and the life preserver and drowning and it only seemed right that if Andy had learned anything at all from Dr. Walker, he couldn't give into the temptation with Colt.
-
I have to tell you Jaro, I wasn't sure if Andy was going to give into temptation or not. I agree with you about Dr. Walker. While I didn't think about it consciously, I think that unconsciously it's me. Lisa agrees with you and I hated to see him go. But you never know. Someone may need him later. I sent Lisa a copy of your comments. I figured she'd love to read them. She does make a great difference in my writing and is great at often suggesting a better way of saying something. I don't know what I'd do without her.
-
Jaro, I love your comments. You see to the heart of the story and it makes me feel good. I hope all the readers see it too. It's been my hope to write something different. You know like two boys want each other, there are all kinds of roadblocks in their way, and they come together. I suppose this could be that kind of story, but this is called knots and it's not about the roadblocks as much as the knots they tie in their lives. You note made that clearer to me. Seems strange to say that since I'm the author, but much of this comes from deep inside me.
-
Jaro Thanks for your nice comments. You are insightful and you make me feel all the better because you can see the struggles and like the reflection. Actually, a number of people of emailed me and said they like the reflection of the boys more than the sex. But I still throw a little in now and then not just to do it, but to use it to move the story forward and make the reader look at things from a different perspective.
-
Lisa has a new job and is very busy. But she'll catch up sometime. Readers don't realize that their emails to me can affect the story. Your comments as well emails I get make me think about what should happen next. Everyone has been disappointed in Matt so I thought maybe it was time for him to have some redemption. Andy too. Glad the next chapter came in while you were still online.

As you know, our characters do the darndest things sometimes and sometimes they even do the right thing.

Knots 4 Chapter 30 Andy So there stood Matt on the branch with his cock waiting for me. He didn’t come down at first, he just stood there and teased me with that beauty. “Matt, get your ass down here before I lose interest.” Matt gave out a big laugh. “That’ll be the day.” He walked out on the branch, acted like he was about to fall, then grabbed onto the branch with his hands and dropped into the water. I rushed to him and pulled him
