It doesn’t take me long once I make up my mind. Like others, I suppose, I am my own worst enemy. I often refuse to see what is right in front of me. This is a flaw of human beings, but as I must remind myself periodically, I am not a human being. I am born as a human, yes, but eventually, I figure out who I really am. Typically it happens in adolescence. As if this time in the life cycle isn’t chaotic enough, I am destined to discover that I am of the perpetually reborn. One whose destin

Vancouver is nice, but Honolulu is better
pDaisy commented on Zenith's story chapter in Vancouver is nice, but Honolulu is better
Lol, I Could totally relate to your main character running around cleaning everything in the anticipation of his friend arriving. god knows how many times I have felt that excitement. -
I grew up in small town (900 people) Northern Saskatchewan, couldn't tell anyone that I liked guys, headed to Vancouver after high school at 17 to find my self! I have written a number of stories with Canadian themes and I always appreciated the home connection when I have a chance to read it; there's just something about home that speaks to me. Coincidentally, I found one of those gay skin magazines in an abandoned car on a neighbouring property when I was about 14, and glued the pages together over the next few years, lol. Thanks for the nostalgia, and and an interesting first chapter. Pink.

Jesus gathered the faithful in front of the restaurant and called them all to heed his words. “Hear me now, on this first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread. We eat together as a symbol of ...” “Ahem.” Jesus looked down from the rock on which he stood at the man off to his left trying to get his attention, but tried to ignore him. Turning back to the waiting crowd he continued, “We eat together …” “AHEM.” The man cleared his throat, and was now emphatically waving

Standing at the ramparts of the ancient castle, Victor and Igor looked at the boiling, black clouds, coming in fast. "Looks like a doozy blowing in boss." Igor lamented. Victor was silent lost in thought, but snapped out of it when he heard his faithful assistant. "What's that Igor?" "The storm Doctor, it looks just like what you need. I think we will get lots of lightening tonight." Victor smiled affectionately at Igor. "Yes my friend, I think tonight will be the night

“All rise! The Honourable Justice Harvey Billingsworth presiding.” “Please be seated,” the judge announced to the packed courtroom, and the shuffling of benches and chairs reverberated throughout the wooden hall as people settled themselves. Victor glanced around nervously hoping for some way to get himself out of this mess. Thinking furiously he hoped that others in the courtroom would be called first so he would have more time to figure this out. "Dorothy, whose first on the

"Master? Master!" Igor yelled enthusiastically, his voice reverberating off the cold stone walls of Victor's castle. He slammed the heavy door behind him and pulled the giant lever beside the door tripping the mechanism that held a large bag of sand nearly 20 feet high in the air. As it dropped, the rope it was attached to went through a series of pulleys, and turned the gears that moved the giant steel beam into place, settling it into its iron brackets ensuring no one could storm the door

"Boss, I'm not sure of this to be honest." "Stop complaining, and hold him still. I just want the arm," Victor responded as he held the cloth over his victims mouth. Soon the struggling man was sedated and Victor pulled out his tool kit to get to work. Besides I told you that you could come along tonight because you've been hounding me for weeks for an outing, so here you are. Now then, start the fire please Igor." "Oh that is not happening! I draw the line at cannibalism Doc!" Ig

“I’m telling you guys it’s that one,” said one of the three men, as he pointed toward the heavens. Balthasar had enough, “There are millions of stars up there Gaspar! How do we know your not leading us to the edge the earth?” “If you just look to where I’m pointing you can see that it’s the one right next to the two that are sort of close together.” “I’ll tell you this,” Melchoir added his voice to the others, “if I don’t get my ass of this camel soon, I wont be able to walk st

Gathering the Israelites around him, Moses led the mass of men, women, children, and livestock to the edge of the Sea of Reeds. "What have you done to us?" the people asked angrily. "The Egyptians hunt us, and you bring us to ruin by leading us to the shore with no place to run, but back to our deaths?" Moses turned from the angry horde. “God?” he whispered, “Little help here. I could use one of those miracles right about now.” I know, I'm tellin you I'm getting sick and tired of

Moses? Mooossssseeessss? God whispered lightly into the mind of his most devoted. Moses roused himself from a dream and looked around in the dark. “Is anyone there?” he asked. It’s me Moses. Time to get up, we have work to do, you and I. “Yes my Lord. I am honoured Sire, what shall we do?” Come to the mountaintop this morning and we shall speak there, and bring your papyrus. The people know that I am here, be quick. “The mountaintop, Wise One, you mean the mou

The air was chilled this night. The moon sat high in the sky creating an eerie glow in the fog as it settled slowly above the moist earth. Perfect for his task tonight as most would avoid these dark nights in favour of a fire in the hearth and mug of mulled wine in their goblet. Sweating profusely he gave thanks for the cold seeping slowly into the hole he continued to dig. “Remind me why I am doing this and not you?” he asked his companion, who was nervously watching the distanc

Definitely more to come on this story. Thanks for reading.

Funny how we can cry for people we never even get to meet. Thanks for allowing me a glimpse into what you experienced. Pink.

I am very interested in moments in time. Particularly the slices of life that help us come to meaning or conclusion about the big questions in life. Thanks for the look inside. Pink.

Stepping through the cathedral-like entry they spotted a guard and approached him to ask for the administration office. Matt’s German language skills didn’t seem to be lacking any, but it was a bit much to get excited by everything he experienced so Andrew held his awe in check so they could accomplish what they were there for. Truth be told, Andrew felt like he was a spy in a movie and was on some great adventure, just like Jason Borne, or James Bond. It was thrilling. They entered the offi

Two days had passed since Matt and Andrew arrived back in Las Vegas and Andrew’s shift at the store had happened without a hitch. After some discussion they both agreed that Andrew would ask for some time off, and he had taken an indefinite leave from the store. The last thing either of them wanted was to endanger Amy or Andrew’s boss by associating with people at the store. Amy was curious, but when Andrew told her that Matt was thinking about leaving the country for a little while, and that

Glad you liked the new chapter, I will have another up today sometime.

Andrew sighed with contentment as his head rested against the rhythmic rise and fall of Matt’s chest. “That was pretty incredible,” he said dreamily. Matt chuckled softly, “It certainly was. I don’t think I have had ever had more sex than in the last week. And I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed sex as much!” He suddenly looked crestfallen, “Do we really have to go back to Las Vegas Andrew? Can’t I just take you away from all of this? We could run away forever.” Andrew looked up at the r

Matt's Rant -- What Does That Make Me?
pDaisy commented on Rip Skor's story chapter in Matt's Rant -- What Does That Make Me?
I have be honest here and say that I love the story, but the lessons in vocabulary, sexuality, etc. are getting on my nerves, and I really think it detracts from the narration. The story is progressing and then the narrator is trying to teach me something. I can't decide if I am reading a story or a text book. The other issue of course is that it is stated as fact, but in fact it is not fact, it is one person's perspective, so it ends up being a text book that is biased. I'm losing interest here, because the story is being lost. Pink. -
Chapter 37 A Pair of Kings
pDaisy commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 37 A Pair of Kings
Hello Gary, thanks for another stellar chapter. What I really appreciated about this, was that it took a big sigh and let us regroup from all of the drama of the last chapters, and let us experience the connection these two guys feel. Yes Jeremy seems destined to be a Kendell project... Pink
