Always! It was written for an anthology which I pulled out of that had a tight word count, but I was too distracted to go back and re-write or extend bits. But thank you sweetie.

    Chapter 5

thanks hun.there are things i would change if i had the time and could go back, but it was originally written under a very tight word count limit. as for Phelps - you know how you meet someone, and they leave to soon, and you always wondered what might have been?

    Chapter 5

Thanks Brad. It's nice to know you're still along with us for the fun!
  5. It is partially frustration, but it is also partially true. There have been a number of private conversations wherein people have let it be known (and to be fair, not just people here on GA) that they are not willing to part with money for something they have until now been able to get for free. I love and adore you for having purchased my work (and for lots of other reasons too): but you are in the extreme minority I am afraid.
  6. whose bodies does all this oil come from anyway?

    Chapter 5

aww, thank you Gary. I promise to come back and visit the world if I can get off the planet of long enough...
  8. I have infected my husband with this! His car now contains snacks, a blanket, a tarp, a crowbar (his idea, he saw a car crash very near him and the woman's door would open, people panicked), and a hunting knife. Thank you Joann, it's nice to know.

    Chapter 5

For a cat, he's remarkably loyal... which isn't to say that Phelps might let you borrow him...thank you hun.
  10. “I hope you enjoy your flight. We should be landing on the planet’s surface in about six hours. Is there anything else you need?” Hani shook his head. “Have a pleasant trip.” The pod door slid shut, leaving Hani alone in the small space. When the Marquis had docked at the Vonnegut hub, Hani had hugged Delilah goodbye and taken his still rather meagre bag of possessions with him off the ship. He had needed to consult both a map and a hub-station assistant in order to find out where he needed t
  11. I'm not saying I won't upload anything here - after all no one buys short stories either! and i love my short stories. I just think I need to try for more.
  12. It is my understanding that my readers generally consider themselves pretty lucky - because they get 'fed' new stories and chapters on a regular and normally rather speedy basis. With yesterday marking the end of Redemption's A Bitch, and tomorrow being the end of the short five chapter Six Billion Credit Rent Boy, a bit of a wait now ensues. I am writing. The end of Tiger Winter is in sight, and it is massive now, standing around 120K, and into my NaNoWriMo word count I have also managed to insert 8000-odd words for my Chain Reaction Anthology story - so there is that to look forwards to. But there is going to be a bit of a wait. I have yet to decide what I am going to do with Tiger Winter. It is much too large to go into a multi-book single volume published edition, and due to the general lack of good feeling towards the idea of crowdsourcing, I am not sure which avenue to take. A lot of people will tell me to just upload it here, for everyone to enjoy, and I am not against that prospect either. I love writing, I love sharing my universes with all of you, and making you happy (or sad, or angry, or mixes of many emotions and hungry to boot), but I want to see my work on a bookshelf one day, not just on the 'shelves' of Amazon. Surely that's not too much to ask? I do not know of the immediate future regarding this book, I think that TW probably has too much sex to be commercially viable, but who knows. It is hard to make a decision between the love of readers, and the inevitable lack of passion as soon as the word 'money' is mentioned. Take blankets and snacks, and a torch for the dark.
  13. thank you Fax.The dogs love the house - their room is bigger and they can go into all parts of the house. No chocolate kitchen to be banned from. Kieran and Sparrow get to live there, but they'll only be in Japan a week - kieran will be having Shadow withdrawal! I'm glad we have you along for the ride.
  14. oh meanie!we can't all be voyeurs forever sweetie!
  15. Now the Redemption's A Bitch is done, a lot of people are asking what's coming up next. This week is also the last upload for Six Billion Credit Rent Boy, so there is this big blank hole in the future. The next upload for you guys will probably be when my anthology story comes out - it's a doozy. I have not quite yet finished writing Tiger Winter, something around 120K right now, and I have not yet decided on it's format. Wanting to push ahead with the crowd sourcing is a desire hindered by a: the lack of positive response, and b: the overwhelming costs of postage to get the book to the people who want it. I have a American Songbook story that I am very excited to write, and the other day I was visited by a very different sort of canine, one who has not reared his head since I was still at university. so perhaps, perhaps, perhaps...
  16. Thank you Cole, it's been great to have you with us for the ride.
  17. aww Lisa! thank you hun. you're such a wonderful person to have as a reader and supporter! and I'm glad I get to be educational as well as entertaining - that's nice to know.As for the dogs - I'm not sure I can really write without animals in some way. It's good to have them there. thank you.
  18. what Ma said. Also faith - Robin has faith. Antho story Tiger Winter, once i've decided what to do with it as regards to publishing.
  19. There's still a whole back catalogue... you can't have read them all!thanks Columbus, i'm so glad you've been along for the ride.
  20. aww sweetie, thank you so much. The boys are very happy with themselves I think. withdrawal can be relieved by re-reading favourite chapters. also watch 'Rush' and pretend Kieran is there with you - it's his favourite film.
  21. thank you suvi!
  22. They'll have on of those 'wear a nice suit and brush the dogs and go down the registry office, then have a dinner party' weddings. Robin's parents will be so disappointed, but the kids'll love it!
  23. doesn't that depend on the victim?
