At this point I have to agree River does not deserve Silver. Poor me pfft I hope Ben stays with Sam so that River can really take a look at himself and what he has done. I just hope that Silver comes to grips and realizes he is strong enough to handle himself without having to resort to his old self that could do more harm than good Brilliant chapter though Nephy plus I agree with Phana, again, one more chance then River is on the wanted list with Sam's revolver

Yeah Julia and yes I hope she is Silver's guardian angel but River has created a minefield and will have a lot of work to do to gain Silver's trust back. Poor Ben for feeling the way he does and again River has not helped there either. Then his doom and gloom scenario about losing one of them.. Hello River you have already due to your selfishness.. but this is Nephy and I have no doubt there is more to come

He failed. I am so angry with River right now it doesn't matter that he came back. He knew the damage that he had done and became a coward. I appreciate that thinking of his brother is important but when you have a support network like Sam and his family plus Ben telling you as well you listen goddamitt. Sam reminds me of a big teddy bear and is adorable. Silver will survive but I hope same calls Dr Marshall before those evil Social workers arrive

I have to agree with phana 14. I am not going to stop reading but this is horrifying and so wrong on so many levels. From this meeting I hope River pulls his finger out and gets defense asap if he doesn't he is an idiot. As to what they have said and done about Silver a) they have no right and River get up and shout ffs. Defend him don't go into shock but then on the other hand maybe this will be the wake up call for him to grow up. I am really angry at him at the moment he has done more harm than good by not accepting advise and help and now he has been put in a position to separate the two people who he loves and has promised both that he would not leave them. It is a great burden but hell that is what lawyers are for and why hasn't he contacted the solicitor who should have been there as well. Talk about an incompetent system. It never changes.

It was definitely a good chapter and very intense but again River stop hiding ffs!! First lashing out at Sam and then what that demon from hell aka social services did to Silver in the meeting is reprehensible. What River should have done is ensure that this woman had spoken with the Doctor's which of course they won't as they like their own pre conceived ideas before facts. The damage being done to Silver is unconscionable and River should have known better. I appreciate he needs the opportunity to grieve to so he should be getting assistance not trying to do this all on his own

I hate social services in any country the left hand never talks to the right!! What is a young woman doing in Child Services and she knew more than she was letting on the b..ch!! I hope River calls Sam and Mrs Ward and P to let them know so that they can preempt anything more but I foresee more drama from you Nephy lol It does make the reading for the reader more addictive though

I am so happy that they settled in nicely and Jake what a cutie that he has taken to Ben and now we will have a new version of the three musketeers lol But wait there's more drama to come as it is you Nephy lol what will happen? Keeping going until I find out

Loved the part about Cruella though good analogy there Andrew lol But I am worried about River how is he going to grieve when he has to broken "children", sorry Silver but his innocence is childlike due to his circumstances that it is not going to be easy for River I don't think and notice just now Percivial has pointed that out already... my bad

There is always prejudice in the world unfortunately but that woman needs to get a life. Obviously she has cowed her husband and I assume she has no children of her own to think she has a right to say those things but what she said to both River and Silver was wrong and disgusting. Poor Ben being influenced by her but at least he seems to know and love his brother enough to be able to see reality. Poor Silver to be faced by such bigotry I hope she doesn't set him back too much and I can see trouble brewing from her as well in regards to Ben. As River said though thank goodness he called the solicitors first and knew where he stood

How sad for River and Ben but what a great brother and Silver was amazing and has such strength to open his heart automatically to the needs of others. You continually amaze me with your twists but I hope his Aunt and Uncle don't cause too much trouble. I can see Ben (somehow I think Silver will change it to Sky) and Silver hitting it off straight away

Sandi surprised me in her earnestness after realizing that Silver wasn't coping but River, smack upside of the head that is no way to prove a point. Sam was right and I am glad that River realized it but he is also a professional carer who should have known better no matter what!! Then the phone call... I hate cliffhangers but as usual the chapter was great and you feel like you are right there on the sidelines watching it unfold Onto the next chapter

Hmmm I am so happy that River put the paintings up for him at the art gallery for exhibition but Sandi!!! I am not sure if I like her. She seems like an airhead, I shouldn't be mean, but to be able to paint like that and the way you described it she has talent as well. She is very insightful which makes me think she has her own similar demons like Silver, not in the same way though and obviously they connect in an artistic way. I have to laugh at River in the fact that he didn't foresee that bringing his angel out for viewing would capture other people's notice and a fresh dose of jealousy is healthy too. I hope it makes him realize, as Sam said, that you can't have him all to yourself all the time, which he knew but I don't want Sandi to take advantage of Silver either in regards to his art I think she has already established that she won't have a chance romantically but we will see....

Wow!!! I jumped from two to three and I must say that River is too hard on himself at times. Silver has done amazingly well in his recovery and of course there will be lapses but I think I get his fear too. The big step was Silver admitting his fear of himself and his identity and I hope River is doing the right thing but I feel there is more that will unfold in how Silver will cope with that part of himself and the real world.. I have my own assumption but will it be what you Nephy wrote or River has to find in himself he is capable of doing to a point without it crossing over into Silver's past? There obviously still dark times ahead too so onto the next chapter to find out

Wow what an opening to part two of Enigma. It was very erotic but sad as even though Silver wanted to do it we can see that it hurts him too and River knows but does not know how to help. It is not going to be easy and at the moment even though it always seems Silver is in control he really isn't. Has he even let River give to him yet? I think that will be a defining moment for them both. Am glad to see he is painting again, but saddened that he is afraid to go outside even though I can empathise as I have the same problem life can suck sometimes. What will River's news do to them when they really sit down and talk. Will they have to move? How will Silver really take it when he understands that River's acceptance means he is alone more often? To get these answers I must go to the next chapter and anon As always you are brilliant Nephy I am sorry it took me so long to find this story but am glad I did and I erred in my review of the ending of Enigma I can read Dangerous Liaisons on here but not on Lit lol ... That will be next

Nephy this story is incredible. You draw your readers into the events, emotions and dramas of your characters. I love both Silver and River and have enjoyed their roller coaster ride immensely. Sam was a great character too. I have to agree I am impressed with how you describe Silver and his emotions through his paintings and I loved the part where he gave Robert the painting of David. I hope in his future he continues to paint because he obviously has a great talent there and I was pleased that River kept them all. Enigma is one of my all time favourite stories, next to Dangerous Liaisons, which it saddens me I can't re read but one day soon I shall. So onto Enigma II to see what unfolds. On both Lit and here you are one of the best writers congratulations on another tantalizing story

Could you please get rid of Faith already!!! They have not even been home a day and he is back and on that note how on earth did he know that they would be at River's house already. Was he watching the hospital or does he have a mole somewhere? Can these two not even get a little break!! Plus poor Nick another innocent taken because of Faith this guy needs to go visit Satan on a permanent basis... Rant over brilliant as always and if I could I would bash Faith over the head and let the men deal with him as they please. I am not really a violent person but this guy so needs to go.. Yes that was a surprise about Sam but then it explains his empathy so well too. I was not surprised by River's reaction as he was just told by Aeron that the two monsters are still out there, hopefully they will be caught without anymore drama but... really I don't see that happening... so more suspense and intrigue to come but I am glad that he is going home with River to recover. Two hours to get the police on alert though I hope that is enough time
