    I love chocolate cake with chocolate ganache but, that aside, I love this story. It is creating a sense of immediacy as well as presenting a powerful scene of what all of us face, at one point or another. We all meet people we connect with and know or fear we will lose. It is inevitable though I adore your use of the military. Good hook. You got me when Mark admitted he knew it was happening and Trey needed to make that connection.     Chapter 24 - Final Course “Ooh, this is kinda spicy,” Dylan’s brother said after taking a bite and savoring it. Chuck and Dylan had served the dessert course and the group was having their first taste of the pie and sauce. “It’s got a kick to it.” “I wanted it to taste like a cinnamon red hot and apple,” Chuck explained. The group nodded that was exactly what they were getting. It was spicy but the creamy, cool, custardy sauce was just the right taste to counteract yet accompany the heat.
