And to you, Tony. I know expatriates often end up becoming friends (my brother's told me stories about a British diplomat in Saudi Arabia having a still in the basement of his house and organizing gatherings at his place) so I wanted to have a varied group of people surround CJ and Owen. It was time I introduced some nice Kiwis, the last one was a jerk CJ had to beat up.

I keep forgetting you're much, much older than I am! There's only so much conflict I can stomach writing. I'd rather have Liebe throw a couple of tantrums instead of Northman doing it. But alas, I think he may be more of a brat than the girl. Let me see what I can do about a birthday present.

I do hope '22 is better. 2021 was supposed to see us return from the madness but instead it turned out to be a proper bastard. Even on the last day it took Betty White from us. She's a big deal in the US.

LMAO - I had to bite my tongue yesterday when you asked about an extra chapter. But, hell, even though it's not a new story, I had to keep my streak of posting on the first day of the year. HNY, Chris. May 2022 see us return to some semblance of normalcy.

CJ and Owen got lucky the first time around. Their surrogate was a friend to begin with, so it may have been a bit easier. Aside from Dani and Alex, I have another instance of surrogacy in this book, and another one in a story I have planned for next year.

It doesn't come as a surprise. I know a bunch of guys who travel together every year and always manage to find 'party favors' on their trips. I did see something about a cartel related shootout in the area. At least my guys are not into illegal substances. For the most part and for the time being.

With ancestors from Scotland and Spain, Ozzie's the closest to Scandinavia. I'm certain Norway's a lovely place to visit this time of year. And since this chapter opened the door to traveling...

I've always tried to have variety amongst my characters. Cody returns later in this story, and Dani and Alex get at least a mention in a future one. Their approach to dealing with fertility problems may be unorthodox, but it's just as valid as how CJ and Owen went about conceiving Liebe. Something I enjoyed while writing this story was the opportunity to introduce characters older than the teens that populated most of the early one. Their experiences and outlook are quite different.
