Thank you, sir. I do spend time researchig before and during the writing. This was a fun one to prepare for. I watched a few seasons of the show and read a fair amount about the music business.
Chipper was a favorite of mine when writing him as a supporting character in the CJ series, so it was fitting he'd be the first one to get his own story. I hope you read and enjoy some of my other work
Carlos
A binge reader brought me to this chapter. I'd like to let you know I just penciled Aslan into the cast for an upcoming book.. That will be all for now. 😉
Thanks for the praise.
Unrealistic and improbable, but plausible. He's hanging with Levine who's nuts to begin with and this is after all Coachella, the festival of excess for the beautiful people.
(Carlos rubs hands together and cackles)
Consider me GA's version of the corner pusher, my goal is to get readers hooked so they read all my stuff.
FYI - This is my only story with a limit on word count. It was an experiment to test my writing skills and try to improve in certain areas.
I can provide a fictional one; the real thing? I'm not that good. I like starting stories in the middle and that's what's going on here. From now on, we find out why that TV show's so significant.
Welcome back, Jeff!
Comrade Domogarov will make at least one more appearance. I just took a look at my spreadsheet and can confirm he'll return in chapter 12. Until then, new chapter coming up in two days.
Cox and George Kent are peas on a pod. Hush about the man until he shows up.
I swear I could spend the rest of my life writing more spinoffs. Thanks, glad Margaret has come across the way I intended. Smart, understated, and maybe a tad devious.
Let's hope it's not too severe a whooping, I kinda like having someone to kick on a regular basis. He's one of the few disagreeable characters I've kept around for an entire book. He'll be there at the end. Or close to it.
Any artist, If I can be presumptuous and call myself that, will worry about how their work's received. I'm not blind to my series' popularity, but after almost two years of posting spinoffs, there was some worry readers might not be ready for a full dose of him and Owen.
For the record, "I" sont have 4 pages of comments. "WE" do. This is a collaborative effort, and as someone recently mentioned, the comments are often as good reading as the chapter itself.
True Confessions
Lucy was named after Lucille Ball. I knew she and Ritchi would be a couple and I wanted the opportunity of writing two dialogue lines:
"LUCY! I', home..."
"Oh, Ritchie..."
Still waiting for the right spot.
Ozzie send CJ out to spar with marines knowin what that does to the libido. The Aussie's a bloody schemer!
I find it fascinating how a new character, and a secondary one at that, captures readers' attention and love. Margaret Cox is so different from my usual rambunctious crowd and yet she becomes an instant fan favorite. Go figure.
