Keep an eye out for a new character introduced in the final chapter of Malibu. I'm also toying with one of the Squad's kids becoming and avid horse rider. NOT Liebe!
Yes. I always do when I write a new character and post the chapter. Sometimes we see things in our mind and they don't always translate to the page. I'm very happy with the reaction to Fernando.
Miles is our observer here. He humors Brett and smiles at his antics but repeatedly tells us he's impressed with how Cesar handles negotiations. I had to control myself when I had Cesar speak to Meryl. I so wanted him to blow up but knew him being respectful and a hard ass fit better this time around.
You're right. They support each other and even while Cesar may be a little more relaxed than Brett this time around, we know he also has a temper. I didn't want them going at each other in this story. LOL
I think you hit the nail on the head. He didn't think clearly. If he had bothered to call Meryl when he agreed to meet the guys things might have turned out differently.
I loved his reaction to Brett suggesting Ritch might want something or other for his dorm room. I can just see the Air Force Academy not knowing what to do with a cadet having a piece of art worth a few million in his dorm.
Well, thank you! A little experience dealing with jerks helps. I so want CJ to meet Llorosa; I may have to work it into a future story. Just for that reason I hope he keeps his job. LOL
Nalbo got off easy but in his rush left a lot of money on the table. Cesar & Brett got a great deal on La Casita. With them owning the Malibu house, and Ritch now living in Colorado, I intend to have more stories/chapters using the western states as a setting. Hell, one of these days I may add a cowboy as a character. LOL
LMAO- We may need a huge vehicle, CJ would have a lot of people interested in helping. If bullies are insecure and scared, I think Fernando is insecure and jealous. He can't compete with the wealth of people he deals with so he compensates by being a snob. Not gonna work with this family.
Thanks, Chris. Fernando suffers by the end of the story, but he'll return in the future. I'm starting to enjoy having antagonists reappear in a secnd story like Nalbo did.
Blame my borderline OTC.
The chapters in California alternate POV between Brett and Cesar. They also alternate between dealing with good guys (Miles, Yves & Brock) and twerps (Nalbo, Eddie & Fernando). I could have named this one Meryl, but then it would have ruined the symmetry since she would have been the only female.
