Yep never the best... we have meat wagons, country markets where there are some really REALLY good deals on meat. The stakes for Canada are political, cultural, and economic obliteration. It means a rain of missiles on Newfoundland, and the Free North being put to the sword. It means Andrew would not survive, killed in combat or after a trial. It means war with Britain that Britain and her allies can't win. (We know from the text that both the Dutch and the French are present) It means Will would be arrested, tried for treason and we know the price for that conviction. What it means for Ned, Jacob and Tommy is catastrophic. We're already seeing West and Peter and the Rideau Valley paying the cost. The odds against Will are humbling, and we're a third of the way through the book.

I wasn't intending on doing the Worlds (them being so soon after the last chapter, I had no choice but to put this here in the narrative) And You all see to love Tommy when he's charting his course, so I felt show don't tell. Tommy's stand, with Jacob at his back, and the British and French loyalty... just seemed right. Hope it worked

It is safe Tarquin knows. But it is also safe that, in his arrogance, he has no idea of the ramifications to it. It's just further embarrassment as you said. Though it is always nice to think of Tarquin seething and Orel happy.

This is one of those situations where all Patel needs to do is wait. Tarquin will hang himself with his own rope once she has made sure to box him in. Some times that is the best way to deal with these types, let them think they're winning, then pull the rug out from under them and watch them flail around. All the time showing exactly what kind of person they are. Basically they destroy their case at that point.

I just think it's old, and disused... And Orel has more than enough money to get it fixed up, heck he's more than capable of having the thing knocked down and a new one built rather rapidly. yes indeed, I get it on good writing days, where things just go right... but it can be very draining when I push too hard. I've had a couple of recovery days these past two or three, where my brain has gone... time to rest. I've tried to be stubborn, but it simply says nope, switching off now. i like the poetry of Tommy's art. I hope I capture it with the Worlds, added to tomorrow's chapter.

Orel is amazingly fun to write. I am knee deep (12 chapters) into the third Grady book so far, and Orel continues to be a source of inspiration for me.
