Hmmmmmm... Zef zeroing in on Millers's scent...interesting. But then him and his pack leaves without much fanfare. (Oops, too late for civilized discussion, my gutter brain is already conjuring scenes of wrestling singlet and commando uniforms fetish hotness... BRB) Ahem.... Anyway: Is this the first non-cliffhanger chapter in book two? ;-) I'm really glad Stan got to shine for a paragraph in this story. Felt so bad for him when he hit the floor on instinct earlier.

Hrm... I thought this in the Conclave chapters and was reminded of in this chapter: I suspect that it could easily been the hunters that Parker's father was supplying information to. I know Buck speculated that it was the lycan council playing games, but that was never clarified in the narrative. And besides, I think the hunters would make for a better story line! I would not be surprised if this story ends with Timber (+Tahoe+Eldorado) pack and Forest View pack tensions near the breaking point. Although I'm not sure how many members of the "traditional" pack would accept Colton as an alpha. I think my problem with Buzz might in reality be a pacing issue. This story is about to hit the halfway point but I feel like I've just read the end of "Chapter 3." Also, its hard for me to 'watch' the continued abuse and manipulation of someone.
