  1. Here's just a collection of short stories and bits of poetry.
  2. Time fades and the serpent twists, spinning lies and deceit in an endless circle of doubt. He claims to have wisdom yet he knows not his own name. As the skies grow dark, the stars dying and the moon covered, he whispers sweet fictions in your ear, claiming them as truth. These words merge and blend into a sweet song, lulling those who listen into a deep slumber. As sleep takes them, the serpent shall smile, and devour them for all that they once were.
  3. Cia cursed loudly, throwing her glass against the wall in her anger. "Why haven't we found them yet?!" She shouted, starting to pace, "They have to be here! They can't have gotten away! Why haven't we found them?!" "Easy, my lady. . ." Rook said in a careful voice, "We haven't found them yet, but there's...a trace." He hoped she would calm down long enough to hear him out. "Look. . ." He pulled out the scrap of cloth, "The beasts are on the scent trail right now." "Cia!" Lauren came into the
  4. July started to call again but the door came open and November came out. "What's happening?!" He demanded, worry in his eyes as he hurried over to them. "Shit, Felix!" He scooped the boy up, not seeming to even notice the pain of the frost, and quickly went inside. "August!" He yelled out, as he took Felix to his room and laid him in the bed. "Get hot water!" He barked out to anyone, "I need a syringe and some of December's medication, now!" Everyone had been gathering to find out what all the c

    Settling In

Perhaps it doesn't seem logical, but Snow has a sort of effect on Louis, no? As well as the neighbor, apparently. Perhaps he just knows how to get people to trust him. As for the apartment deal and why two rooms, I originally meant to explain that, but I suppose it slipped my mind. But it is possibly a plot point for you to keep an eye out for
  7. With a slow, steady breath of the cool night air, Felix gazed up at the star-lit sky. He was sitting on the roof of their base, which June had warned him he shouldn't do, but he wanted to see the stars so badly. At the time, he thought he was alone up there, until there was the distinct sound of a book snapping shut. He jumped and sat up quickly, looking around until he laid eyes on someone he hadn't met before. "You must be July. . ." he said softly. July was only person who had been absent fro
  8. Interesting speculation. What really is keeping Louis from pushing matters? I guess I should make a point in answering that in later chapters

    Completely Off

After Snow finished shopping, he and Louis left the mall. Walking back out to the car, Louis was still flustered about what had happened earlier. He wanted to talk about it, but he didn’t have a clue how to approach the subject. It was made obvious to him that Snow wasn’t quite exactly as ‘innocent’ as he liked to think he was. The white-haired devil had a seductive and teasing side. And looking back, Louis started to wonder if all this time Snow had been playing with him. All that dancing abo

    Fortunate Accident

It had been just over two weeks since Louis met Snow. He had been working most of the time, so he didn’t get to see a lot of the white-haired beauty, but it was a nice sight to wake up to in the morning. Waking up to him was going to come to an end soon though. He’d gotten the job at the diner and would start working there in a few days. He had the morning shifts, meaning he’d be gone by the time Louis woke up. Already, Snow was starting to wake up early. This morning, Louis came into the kitc
  11. "Come on, Cia, they're long gone by now," Rook called to the Angelic woman, frustration clear in his tone. "No, they're here," Cia insisted, ruffling the golden feathers of her wings and gazing out at the wasteland before her. "They have to be here. They couldn't have slipped past the patrols." She was quite pissed off. She'd had one of the highest ranked members of their little group within her grasp, and he slipped through her fingers, along with the boy that they'd been trying so hard to ke

    Settling In

After he showered and got dressed, Louis came out into the main area of the apartment again and found Snow sitting on the couch. He looked nervous, like he expected Louis to yell at him or something. Maybe he thought this was the point where he would get thrown out. Louis sighed and ran a hand through his hair as he walked over and sat on the other end of the couch. Snow kept his eyes down, fidgeting with the hem of his shirt. “I’m sorry,” he said quietly. Louis shook his head, “Forget about

    Red Handed

Getting Snow warmed up was simple enough. Louis made some hot cocoa for him, and bundled him up in blankets as he sat on the couch. After taking a look, he couldn’t find any evidence that Snow had hit his head, so they agreed there wasn’t really any need to stay up all night. After about an hour, they both went to bed. Snow crashed on the couch, and Louis went to his room. The next morning was. . .puzzling. As Louis stirred, he found some delightful smells invading his senses. After a few minu
  14. August groaned when the persistent knocking on the door woke him up. He rolled out of bed and padded over to the door, opening it. There stood September, soaked to the bone, with his hand on the shoulder of a boy with black hair and pale blue eyes. This must have been the boy November brought. He was only about fourteen. "I thought November might like to know he got here safe." September spoke with a faint smile, squeezing the boy's shoulder. "Felix, this is August," he said to him, removing h

    Curiosity

I hate you You make me wish I could read faster. Curiosity is a very fitting title for this, because I am dying from curiosity now! And look, you even got me to write a review! I am going to end up reading this entire story in one sitting, lol

    Meeting Snow

It was late on a cold, mid-January night. A fresh blanket of snow covered everything, including the roads and sidewalks, and still more fell. The city was absolutely silent at this hour, with not a soul in sight. The only person out and about was Louis, a 22-year-old bartender who was walking home from work. He was pretty tall, and broad-shouldered. He would have made an excellent football player, if he was into that sort of thing. He had dark hair, and dark eyes to match, with angel wings tat

    Snow

Lonely bartender Louis finds his life changing when he meets and helps a beautiful man who calls himself Snow. This Snow might seem helpless and innocent at first glance, but perhaps not everything is as it seems.

    February

To clear that up, Damien IS December A little hint for recognizing the months by their other names is they'll start with the same letter Thanks for the feedback!
  19. This is a tale of a rebellion, in a far off land of combined magic and technology. There are legends of twelve mighty heroes, each gifted with a power of his or her own. They must band together to bring peace upon the land, and settle the disasters and war before everything is destroyed.
  20. Lightning struck and lit up the night sky, flashing light into the dark room.August stood near the door, staring, waiting. He sighed deeply as he looked at the silver pocket watch in his hand, gritting his teeth when he saw how late it was getting. All this time, and still, nothing. August took a deep, calming breath and started to pace in the room, the only source of light being a flickering fire on the opposite side, and occasional flashes of lightning which were followed by rumbling thunder.
  21. I never delete my work, no matter how horrible it might seem to. I have an old laptop full of half-finished stories, and a box for the hand-written stuff. I keep it as a reference, so that if ever I get an idea I can look at the old stuff and figure out where I went wrong, and what inspiration I can take from what went right. I recommend you start keeping the stuff you don't like, and share it with someone you can trust for an honest second opinion.
  22. Well guys, I've looked into the anthology stuff. As tempting as it is, my head goes spinning trying to even get near it. It's just a bit much. Part of me knows it's ridiculous and it should be easy, since it's so loose and everything, but I almost feel better just writing freely and throwing up a story that was free spirited and true to my heart. That said. I plan to try to get over my fears and just start sharing my work. I know it's a good way to get feed back and potentially sharpen my skills through trial and error, but gosh darn it, it's hard! Thanks for the advice/support!
  23. Well I've never exactly had the guts to write in any sort of event. I'm more of a free writer myself with a very limited ability to follow guidelines and meet requirements. It's just intimidating to me. But I suppose I can take a look at this anthology thing and consider writing something up. From what I can see it does seem a very good way to introduce myself into the world of sharing my work. And who knows? Maybe if I start participating in such things I'll be able to grow in my ability to write in new styles and gain new inspiration.
  24. Thanks for the welcome guys. Glad to be here.
  25. Thanks for all the encouragement guys. I'll consider getting something here soon, but in the meantime I guess I'm just going to have to settle for enjoying all the wonderful reads sitting around. It does seem like a wonderful, supportive, and welcoming community. I look forward to seeing what GA has to offer.
